Had the chicken kebab wrap, and it's a garlic bomb... and I love garlic. It doesn't have the raw garlic zing, but it's a nice garlic that garlics the garlic, and garlic garlic garlic.... aw yea.

I'm putting this one on heavy rotation on my usual lunch spots. Tried the chicken shawarma and falafel wraps. Tastes clean; well made. Get an extra garlic sauce on the side if you're into that, not as strong as Zankou's, but definitely drizzle worthy.

Just a heads up, they add red pickled radish in some of the wraps by default. Also there's an ATM there if you need it.

This place is open (edit: SOMETIMES) past 3am!

I got bunch of tacos to try: asada, carnitas, buche, lengua, and al pastor. I didn't realize they pack a lot of meat into these so by the time I got to the 5th taco, I was feeling the bloatage coming on. The lengua/pastor/asada tacos were all badass. The buche was salty, and the carnitas was good and plenty.

Pro tip: When it's sunny and a balmy 100 degrees, grab an umbrella before you jump in the weekend bbq line.

I'm not a fan of tri tip in general, but this one was an eye opener. It was so soft and juicy that I knew that we were gonna get along just fine. The baby back pork ribs are really good too. I whacked a half rack in no time and was thinking about driving back for the other half.  I thought the chicken was juicy and tender, ripping through it with ease using my fingertips. The sauce they used has a deep brown sugar component going on and it's not at all spicy. I really like it. I think it augments the natural sweetness of the meat and it's definitely worth waiting in line for. See you all next weekend.

First of all, the line for this truck is RAGING late night when the clubs wind down.

The tripe taco is pretty crazy. [Side note: tripe in this case mean sliced intestines] So you just get the tortilla with "meat" on it, and you throw on whatever you want from their salsa bar. I dumped some diced onion and green salsa on there and it was good times indeed. They crisped up the tripe, which was a nice touch.

I envied the people that got the al pastor. Remember that scene from No Reservations where they went to Mexico? Homeboy that was manning the al pastor slices the meat, having it fall directly into the tortilla and immediately hands it to you. Soon, al pastor... soon.

I also got a lengua burrito. It was surprisingly bland but you can easily add more flavor via the salsa bar. They put cheese on it which I'm not a fan of. Next time I'm going full blast on the tacos.

The french dipped sandwiches are good in general, and the hot mustard is amazing, but it never made it past a-ok for me. The chocolate cream pie was really good though. I'll be back again for that.

This review is for kama'aina looking to take the edge off. You know what I mean - I don't know if you're here for school/job/whatever, but you need your local kine grinds before you get all nuts.

The Kalua Pig is legit. It's tender, juicy, and slightly smokey. The Lomi Salmon is pretty good too; they don't skimp out on the salmon. The poke is ok but it's the closest you can get to the real thing here. Spam musubi is ok. The BBQ Chicken is ok. White rice is good. Saimin is a little salty. Don't order the kalua nachos. Sweetbread is good. Not too sweet, not too rancid, but just right ah.

They also have malasadas on the bakery side that look like Leonard's, but I never tried them yet.

What can I say that hasn't been said on my review for the Waialae location? (http://goo.gl/JLrrf). The poke here is still badass, and the specials are continuously evolving.

On Tuesdays they have their own spin on fish tacos. It's pretty unique. I almost want to call it a mushu teriyaki ahi with Dorito-seasoned shredded cheese. My friend recommended it, and at the time It didn't sound like something I'd go for, but - it was so good... as soon as it hits your lips, it's so good.

I've been here about 5 times already, and I just wanted to say that I've still yet to see the salad bar.

Also, the Tres Leches is my own personal siren's call to keep coming back.

First off, the Cheese Balls are reason enough for price of admission... it's warm and subtle cheesy goodness throughout each bite is a unique experience. My well-to-do friends say that this is the best place to get these balls outside of Brazil, and believe me they've eaten a lot of balls. The mouthfeel and chewyness is almost a cross between a dinner roll and pounded mochi.

Go for the salad bar if you want keep it classy, but really it's all about the perfectly-roasted meats and cheese bread. Their tres leches is rich, but damn good too. I see myself going back to this place time and again. It's a hedonistic paradise for meat lovers and gentile wolverines.

Their humble Chicken Katsu is so understated... but so good and well executed that I felt like I was eating it in slow motion - savoring every  bite.

The breading has the perfect thickness and crunch, efficiently serving as a vehicle for the katsu sauce and chicken. They nailed everything I was looking for. The breading, the chicken, sauce, and rice. Grinding your own sesame seeds was a nice touch and lended a nice nutty effect to the sauce.

This place is in my close circle of lunch places, and I really like the lengua burrito here (guacamole added). I don't know what extra stuff they put in there, but my mood and energy goes way up after eating one, and suddenly I'm sporting an erection the rest of the day.

They also have a lunch special that include 4 tacos and a soda for 5 bucks.
