Well, this was my first Korean BBQ and well, I guess it is not my thing ... I tried both the smoked Mackrel and BBQ beef. The fish was good, albeit a little dry and full of bones. Unfortunately, these were not small enough to swallow and not linked enough to remove easily. Not as flavourful as other wood smoked fish I have had.
The beef was OK. Large portion so we took some home and reused in another dish and it actually tasted much better on the second day and infused the surrounding dishes quite nicely with its flavour!
The best part of the meal was probably the bottled beer. Who knew the Koreans brew this well!!! Plus it has a little bottle opener sticker that turns white when it is no longer in optimal temperature and who wants to drink beer at non-optimal temperatures so you have to chug it! They also have a 19% abv Korean vodka so I will try that if I ever go back and am not the driver. The place is pricey for what you get. $30pp min with drink, tax, tip if you want a live grill station. It is said chefs come here to eat before or after their shift ... hmm ... not sure why ...

For the food itself, I would give it 2 1/2 stars, but the service gets it an extra half star and INCREDIBLE value for money gets it another star for a total of 4.
The food is pretty good in that there are lots of healthy options and fresh things look and taste fresh. Meats are soft and tender, veggies are crisp or soft when they should be without being mushy. I have never been to Greece but grew up on in a city that has a huge Greek community and annual Greek festivals and I always thought of Greek foods as having strong flavours - tangy, sweet, spicy as they should be but Mykonos makes their food so bland that the only flavour I got from my chicken souvlaki on rice with veggies is the salt and pepper I poured on it after ... the lime flavoured potato was good but the flavours are so faint! Why! its good food! it can use stronger flavours! The rice did not even HAVE salt! And the sauteed veggies were sooo mildly tangy ... not even enough for a tease ... I got tired chewing the food long before I got saturated by the taste.
Maybe its because we went on Sunday night and they expect older people to come on Sunday nights. At least put out some tobasco on the tables. I found myself eyeing the ketchup but I did not come that hungry anyway and just looking at the TON of food on my plate, we asked for doggie bags. We ordered another dish to go and put it this way - $50 (tax + tip included) buys 5 FULL adult meals.
The atmosphere of the place is weird too - don't get me wrong, the staff is great; the waitress was very friendly. The Manager asked me from behind the counter how I liked the food; I just nodded and smiled but it was a nice gesture. The theme is confusing - they are Greek but the place has a 50s diner style decor and sports bar style flat screen TVs showing some game but they don't serve alcohol! They serve burgers and fries too ... why? They serve Greek apetizers and Greek desserts ... keep it Greek!

It's good food. Definately very homely-Italian. Quite authentic. The house red wine is quite good (its from California - the kind that is ~$10 at a grocery store). And so is dessert. I am not giving it 5 stars because it is not *fancy* italian food. It's like the food you would get if an Italian family invites you over for a dinner on a week night and it is no one's birthday. Costs $40/pp with wine, dessert, tax, tip and IMO, even though the food is *good*, it is simple and should not cost this much ... I gave it the fourth star simply because our waiter was so good. I think he was the owner (Alex) he was definately passionate about the restaurant and their food; absolutely gregarious and down to earth personality. Great guy. But with $30pp Nori Nori sushi buffet next door (tax, tip), unless you hate japanese food, its tough to chose Aldo's ...

Not easy on the wallet ... long long long wait. Food was excellent. 3 tuna salads, a flirtini, a beer, a cider and three glasses of wine $150.
Bartender was very friendly. Dining experience was 3+ hours because we waiting about 2 hours for a table. Free cheese, grapes and crackers for the people waiting at the bar for a table. EXTREMELY popular so make reservations if you can.

Glorified junk-food menu, only the basic selection. OK for quick lunch. Wait staff is extremely amicable. Inexpensive.
Tacos were indeed very good. And not too expensive. They have whole wheat tortillas as well ... a rarity in these parts. Great selection of Tacos
Lost two stars because we had to wait A FULL HOUR during lunch time for our food. Waiter was courteous and got our order for 7 right even though I was sure he would screw it up.

Basically glorified, greasy junk food and not the cheapest. Would not go there again. Had to wait 30 min for a table. Waiter was very friendly though - thats the only reason they got the second star, IMO.
Would not go there again.

Their biscuits and cornbread is excellent but just about everything else is par at best, IMO, given the price. The salmon dish is OK. Brunswick stew is good. The glorified junk food section is par. Its a place that is popular for business client lunches. I would not go otherwise.

The meat dinner buffet with a glass of wine and a dessert comes to $70/pp with tax+tip (I really don't understand why people quote restaurant prices without tax and tip - its not like you are not going to pay it)! The Salad only dinner buffet is $40 ($27 if you avoid wine and dessert) which is quite a bit better than the $10 Ruby Tuesdays Salad Buffet but not $17 better. The executive lunch buffet comes in at $23 (with meat, of course).
OK, now the food itself - the meats are quite good - very fatty so they will fill you up; you are really not getting your money's worth in protein. They have the standard Beef+Chicken+Lamb+Pork+Sausage but none of the more exotic things like glands, tongues, livers, intestines and blood dishes - the stuff that really separates South American from North American grills.
The salad bar is borderline excellent - I can see it being a really really good deal for lunch ($15). At dinner ($27) you get clams, baked salmon, crab and shrimp pastas and salads ... PLENTY to make a very filling meal without *meat* (a million times healthier too). There are tons of leaves and palmetto and tuna and cheese type dishes as well.
All dinners are buffet style only - they all come with Yucca fries (so so), fried bananas (excellent), rice and beans (very so so; I have had much better). You will be well satisfied without a dessert.
Overall, I would not go back for dinner. It is just too expensive. Friday night at 8:00pm, the place was dead ... we got a nice table on a cool night by huge fire in the middle of the restaurant. It was a really nice atmosphere for a night out.
