Saturday morning. Day before leaving on a trip.  Boiler dies, hard, leaking water all over the floor.  Panic calls to every plumber in town. David Smith, proprietor of Sierra Enterprises, not only returns my call within minutes but also drives over (on a Saturday), checks out the damage, discusses repair/replace options, and then comes back later that day with space heaters for us to borrow during what was to be a 2-week outage.

Our 40-year-old boiler could not reasonably be fixed. David advised us on options for a new one, answered our many questions, helped us decide how to proceed and what to get as a replacement.  He then ordered it, delivered it, and installed it.

Installation was a doozy because the original boiler was a poorly thought out rat's nest.  (Those of you who know Los Alamos and the "I'm a physicist and I can do anything" mentality are nodding understandingly at this point). David meticulously planned the replacement plumbing, methodically laid it out, and made sure we had a maintainable, reliable layout that would last us for many years.

David is a professional.  He plans well, does careful work, and rightfully takes pride in it.  He plumbs the way I like to code: understanding that the job isn't done when you walk out, that we leave something that will need to be revisited in the future (possibly by us) and that we have a responsibility to that future person. He is also warm, kind, and a pleasure to speak with.

If you're looking for the lowest bid you probably won't choose Sierra Enterprises.  If you're looking for high-quality work, attention to detail, and long-lasting peace of mind, give them a call.

Wow. Best pizza I've had in years.  I had the Sicilian (deep dish), with a custom combination of Spinach and White (no tomato sauce).  It was the best pizza experience I've had in a long time, even better than my own.  Spinach was plentiful and oh-so-tasty, richly garlicky, perfect with the ricotta and mozzarella.  Crust was exquisite!  Deep, tender, flavorful, and crisp on the bottom.

I also tried a slice of their thin-crust cheese pizza.  It was about the thickness of two sheets of paper ... yet it was eye-poppingly delicious, crisp on the bottom yet still structurally sound enough to be a real pizza.  How do they *do* that?! The tomato sauce was well spiced, a pleasant surprise to this no-tomato-sauce-please bigot.

Next time -- and there WILL be a next time, even though I live 2+ hours away from here -- I'm going to have a hard time deciding what to get.  I'm looking forward to that indecision, and feel secure that whatever I do get will be worth the drive.

Thank you, Yelp: I discovered this place thanks to your Android app.

Best breakfast burritos in town.  I don't eat out much, but my weekly breakfast burrito is important to me and these are the best: crisp cubed hash browns, a generous helping of scrambled eggs and cheese.  The green chile, unfortunately, is inconsistent: usually good, occasionally bland, but _just_ often enough -- like today -- it's exquisite.

Atmosphere is open, warm, welcoming.  Staff is friendly.  If I ate out more, this is where I'd go.

Okay, so it's the _only_ pet store in Los Alamos.  But it's a darn good one, with eye-popping selection and a staff that's so helpful and friendly that it makes this reviewer glad to step in the door each time.

Modern facility.  Much more importantly, the doctors and staff are knowledgeable and caring and friendly.  Drs. Weaver and Williams make the routine visits enjoyable, and were outstandingly helpful in the one non-routine visit we had.
