Ray's Hell Burger falls somewhere between the deliciously greasy and nearly guaranteed heart attack at 5 Guys, and the equally tasty "healthy eats" at Elevation Burger. By the way Elevation, you're selling a "healthy" 10-patty Vertigo burger? Really?
Anyway...once you've properly handcuffed, drugged, and securely locked any of your diet plans in your trunk, you're ready for Ray's. Although I loathed saying - "May I have the Big Punisher, please." I did quite enjoy it. (Diablo-grilled and brushed with their spicy chipotle marinade, pepper jack cheese, charred jalapenos, grilled red onions, piranha green sauce)
***I also split a large fry with a friend, but these things weren't anything to write home about. In fact, it almost seemed like Ray and his help hated having to serve them at all. Shame, given the care they seem to put into their burgers.

Emma's Pizza

Think of Emma's as Pizza Hut's younger, cuter sister. Except that soon after Emma was born, her distant-second-cousin CPK told child protective services that she was living in grease, fat, and would be forced to play Galaga with a broken joystick until the end of time. So, the government yanked Emma outta there, relocated her to Kendal Square, got her on The Biggest Loser, loving marathons and yoga, that B.A. in Art History she always dreamed about, and probably a subscription to Real Simple magazine...for starters...
Now, Emma has shed her Jabba-the-Hut surname and is kickin' it VIP at Liberty Hotel on weekends, frequently featured on http://Boston.com's "Hot Shots" section, and occasionally writes for the Huffington Post.
Once, after several drinks, she stumbled past a truck stop to find that all too familiar sight of the Hut. Needless to say, it was a lot like when Jenny re-visited her home in Forrest Gump.

Wings done well. I'd recommend the Louisiana Lickers, and Arizona Ranch (their most popular sauces). We also tried the Asian Sesame - It was a nice change of flavor, but I'd pass next time. Also had the "Hot." It wasn't nearly as spicy as their scale made it seem it would be - comparable in hot to a "Medium" at say BW3's. Much tastier though. Friends also enjoyed the Buckeye BBQ sauce.
Be sure to order the fried pickles - some of the best things I've ever had.

Coffee ice cream was smooth and strong.
Take that American Southwest! Well not really, but c'mon this is Maine. Very tasty tacos and burritos with a nice variety of sauces. I'd skip their Carne Asada salad - just not a strong enough flavor.

I don't mean to be rude, but punch yourself in the face if you don't stop in to When Pigs Fly. The staff is overly eager to assist your sampling needs, and at $5 dollars a loaf it's a GREAT deal - disagree after you have some in your mouth.

Split the Blue Diablo with any other traditional steak. The B.D. is smothered with a VERY smooth blue cheese that blends perfectly with Ray's Diablo sauce. It'll seem like a battle for your tastebuds with every bite. Don't worry, the Diablo sauce is more like a Harry Potter than say a John Rambo.
The 20 dollar price tag made this much hyped roadside stand less than satisfactory. Ordered a basket of fried clams that were tasty, but no more so than any where in the area.
