Nice hotel, nice location; they have a great lounge area, candles along the stairs - pretty much everything about the hotel looks nice.  There is also an iPod in the room which was pretty nice.

I did have a couple of gripes though:
- The music at the bar was playing well past midnight, and unfortunately, I had a room right above the bar.
- No air conditioning - even though it was mild (probably lower 60s at night), it would have been nice to have air conditioning, especially since their comforter is extremely thick and warm.
- Not that it mattered to me, but there is very little desk space, so business people beware.

This is my favorite Pho spot (mostly due to convenience... Washington Ave is a tad too far).  The staff are nice and very attentive.  You won't be left eating without water or sitting around ready to order for long.  The noodles and meat are good.  The soup can be a little bland - but good thing there's Hoisin, Sriricha, and limes.

They do accept credit cards, but there is a $15 minimum.  As for alcohol, they do have a few beers in their refridgerator in the front, but this isn't really a restaurant to drink alcohol in.

During the late afternoon/early evening times, the owner's kids are at the restaurant, sometimes playing and being loud towards the back of the dining area, but that does not bother me.

I ended up here because Jim's down the street had at least 25 people outside of the restaurant (in addition to the line on the inside).  I figured it wouldn't be much of a wait because there were only 5 waiting in line when I walked by SOS.  Turns out there were 15 other people sitting around the restaurant waiting for their food.  However, they do things different from Jim's/Geno's/Pat's in that they actually wait for you to order before they start cooking - which isn't a good thing on a busy night.  I've only been there once so maybe this was only a one time thing, since no other reviewers have mentioned it.

I ended up waiting 35 minutes from the time I ordered for what I thought was an average cheesesteak, which probably would have been the same time if I waited at Jim's instead.

Pricelined a room here for Friday-Saturday night for $200 a night.  Upon arrival, we were given an option of 2 single beds or 1 double.  The location of the hotel is excellent - a 30 second walk from Times Square.  The bathroom has 2 sinks and was clean and pretty spatious.  The room was not very spatious, but that's not a problem for the price.

There were a few downsides.  They do not offer free Internet here.  I also called ahead to try to request 2 double beds and they said okay, but the front desk had no record of me calling when I arrived.

Be careful with the mini-fridge in the room - if anything is moved, they will charge you.  On the plus side, they did slide a letter under the door the next morning letting us know we were going to be charged.  We went straight to the front desk to let them know we did not open that Vodka, and they cleared the charge.

Overall, the hotel is a great place to stay if you get a good deal on it.

Like a few others here, a waitress/hostess tried to lure us in as we were walking through restaurant row, advertising a special.  I believe it was wine, salad, entree, and dessert for $30, which was as good as it gets here.  After looking at the menus of all the other restaurants, I decided to Google this one on my phone, and it had 4 out of 5 stars (I know, I should have checked Yelp first instead).  So we decided to eat here.

It was a Friday night at around 9pm, and the restaurant wasn't very busy.  The food still took a while to get out (about 30 minutes?).  Overall, the food was average, though they did have a decent selection of beer.

In my opinion, the best Pho restaurant in Philly.  The bowls are large and they do give a good amount of meat and noodles with it.  There isn't much else to say about the Pho other than if you're a fan, go for it.

The only downside is that the restaurant gets very busy during lunchtime, and they may sit you/your group at the same table with another person (it can get awkward) if there are no open tables.  They also only accept cash.

The food is consistently good here - Mongolian Beef and Pho are my top 2 choices.  There's a good selection to choose from in the menu with Chinese, Vietnamese, and even some Thai dishes.  Most dishes are under $10, and they'll usually have a daily special hovering around $10 that includes an entree and a soup.

It does seem like the staff changes somewhat regularly, but after going 30+ times over 3 years, I have never had a problem with service.  They can accomodate large parties (I've seen organizations with 30+) and will also split checks without a problem.

After coming here 5+ times in the past few weeks, I'd say the burgers here are average, maybe a little above.  The food is moderately priced - a burger, fries, and a drink (non-alcoholic) will cost you around $7.

Although some of the staff may be friendly, I did have one bad experience recently.  A friend of mine ordered burger, fries, and a water.  He then gets charged for the drink, but does not notice and pays for his order with a credit card.  After I order the same thing, he notices my order is cheaper.  The conversation with the lady at the register went like this:
Friend: "Why is his order cheaper?"
Register: "You ordered a drink."
Friend: "I said I just wanted water."
Register: "Well I can't just give you $1.50 back" and then proceeds to take the order of the next person in line

Overall, I'd recommend the nearby Crown and Anchor instead.

I came here once a couple of months ago and loved it.  As other reviewers have mentioned, the atmosphere is pleasant and upscale.  I ordered their Seafood Delight - which tasted amazing, but the portions were small compared to the cost of it.  The Miso soup was also good as well.

The service was fairly attentive while I was there, though I would have expected better because of how expensive the restaurant is.

Texas Land & Cattle Steak House

The food here is good (but not spectacular), just like the other Texas Land and Cattles around the state.  I ordered a medium-rare sirloin steak and received it just right - neither undercooked nor overcooked.  The wait time for the food is not too bad, especially if you order a soup or salad - your food will be ready soon after you finish it.

The service is excellent, which is to be expected since this restaurant serves mostly business people during the day.
