Katana-Ya

This is one of the best ramen places in SF (according to the many newspaper clippings pasted on their window ;-) Their ramen portions are pretty big. If its your first time, make sure to go there during non-peak hours or else you'll be waiting a loooooong time outside. I love their house Katana-ya ramen and their lava roll.
My friends and I stopped by here on the way to UC Merced. For 30 bucks, we fed 4 people with tasty wings. The lemon pepper and BBQ are the best, while the Hawaiian flavor tasted kinda funky. It takes a while to get the food, but that's ok because you can sit and chat with your group :-). I'll definitely stop by again if I'm ever around the area.
came here friday night for food and drinks. The food was tasty, but somewhat pricey. I had the oktoberfest platter which was a mix of sausages. The atmosphere was fun, especially with the ethnic german music blasting outside.
Hidden in a small plaza near el camino, this mom and pop shop provides tasty meals and sweets. At first it looks like they only sell dessert items. But if you look closely, they also provide meals. From what I can tell, all their dishes are vegetarians. Their food trays seem like they type they use in prisons ;-). They have a fair amount of seating, but it gets pretty packed during lunch.
I came here on a Friday to try their buffet. I was disappointed at their small selection. The tastiest dish was their grilled chicken. Everything else was just meh. On Friday afternoons a belly dancer also shows up to entertain patrons.
the food ranges from tasty to bad depending on the cook. I usually call in my order so that I can walk in and out without smelling like a grill. Their beef is somewhat gritty, but I like their BBQ chicken and spam musubi.

Yogurtland
Categories: Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt, Desserts
yogurtland provides a cheap and delicious dessert and snack. Ask for employees for sample cups to taste the different flavors before buying. Your cost depends on how much the cup weighs. The place is so popular, its even packed on cold evenings. My favorite is the taro with loads of mochi!
delicious, cheap, and filling food! I love their $3.00 Vietnamese sandwiches, but haven't really tried anything else. Their bread isn't has hard as Lee's, and their service is quick.

Falafel's Drive In

My co-workers and I stopped by for lunch on a weekday. There was a long line, but they processed us pretty fast. The food was great, and it was at a reasonable price. I don't recommend parking in their back lot...its hard to get out once someone parks behind you. There's plenty of parking on the side streets.
I haven't been to this place for while, but I had this craving for their fries. Their fries are still good, but everything else is eh. The chicken sandwich I had was somewhat dry. Their strawberry shake tasted like it was processed. I think in-n-out shakes are actually better. And it looks like Rally's caters to non-humans too. They have the "don't feed pigeons" signs in the eating area, but they seem to be nice and plump. Yes, obesity is a problem for American pigeons too! ;-)
