Late last year, an investment property came and bit me in the rear end. The tenant that had lived there for the past few years had basically trashed the place prior to vacating the property, and having to turn it around and put it back on the market was a real hassle from thousands of miles away.

Enter Behzad and Zad Realty. I found him and a few other property managers online and sent out emails. He was one of the first to respond [after sorting my email out of junk mail], and he provided answers to my questions in a timely manner. His management rate seemed reasonable, and so I went ahead and signed on.

I have only used his property management services, but he also helps those seeking a place to rent in the area. The process of renovating and getting the house market-ready was made a lot easier because he had relationships with vendors ready to work on the property. For any areas that I voiced concern, such as which appliances I wanted to purchase for the property, Behzad listened and took my suggestions into consideration.

Over half a year later, I can say with confidence that I recommend Behzad's work. His monthly statements and rental payments are sent to me in a timely fashion, and I know that I can count on him to keep an eye on things.

You can't go wrong with free drinks and free tamales. It was a Tuesday night, and every Tuesday at happy hour, Monarch brings in tamales from Las Palmas in the Mission. We washed down those tamales with two delicious cocktails featuring RHUBY, Root Snap and Stoli. That punch was SO good/ SO tropical!

How many bars/clubs can you walk into and find a hoop aerialist doing her thing over the bar? HMMM?

The first time we ate at Bowl'd, it was brand spankin' new. We were one of a few tables. Now that the word has gotten out, there is a sign-in sheet and sometimes a wait. Not a terribly long one though.

The food, the food - typical Korean fare that you have the option of healthying (I know that's not a word) up. We usually order tofu soup and one of the bibimbap bowls. They come with side dishes and end up being enough food for 2.5 people. I take the leftovers to work the next day, and it's a pleasant reminder of the meal the night before.

Love that they will pack everything for you with sealed containers. No chance of spilling those delicious soups.

Ooh, fancy pants! An extension of Cowgirl Creamery that you can take with you. I tried a deliciously thick/only slightly fizzy San Francisco Chocolate Egg Cream Soda.

Next time I will be back for the cheese plate!

Charcuterie and cheese are the way to my heart these days, and Beast and The Hare puts on quite a show for both of these. You can select from a long list of house-cured meats. We went all out and ordered all three cheeses on the menu at the time. Ordering that + the piping hot bone marrow meant we filled up on a lot of bread!

I was a bit disappointed with the poutine - it ain't real if it's missing the curds!

Overall a great experience, and I look forward to stopping in again - perhaps for happy hour?

Their homemade pasta is SOOO GOOD. The portions are huge, so you really get your money's worth. They don't skimp on the seafood when it comes to any of those dishes! There is a wait on a Friday night, so get in early and put your name down!

This was a great recommendation from our friend graceypoo, and if I'm in Boston again, guess where I'm filling up on amazing food?

There's a liquor store out front. We were slightly confused by the schedule and tried heading to the community bar early in the weekend. Nope, they open much later than that! So we left the area and came back later in the evening. Definitely worth the trip out. Quite the beer selection, and you can do a flight to taste a few! The vibe is pretty relaxed and low key. My kind of place.

We came in here for a mid-day snack. Perhaps it is quite a different scene at other times of the day. We ordered the house-made tater tots and deviled eggs. They have a nice selection of beer, so there's something for all tastes. We had the BBC coffee house porter and Opa Opa bourbon stout, both beers I'd not had on this coast.

A little on the pricey side, but great for appetizers and drinks.

After coming back from Costa Rica, we wanted to ease ourselves back into the grind of the city. We looked up a place that would serve Latin breakfast and went with it. A Breakfast Burrito and  Huevos Al Gusto - 2 eggs, mix of rice and black beans, fresh cheese, sour cream, fresh cheese, salsa and choice of avocado or plantain. Not quite what we experienced on our trip, but still our bellies were happy. The prices make my wallet happy too.
