I love this place, especially since it's on my block.  Everyone there is cool and laid back.

The thing I would suggest is getting better ventitlation.  The smell of food isn't pleasant, like at Flour or a bakery like that, it's more like a diner.

I spent 35 minutes in line tonight, at JP Licks.  The line was out the door, there were 4 people working, but only two helping customers.  The other two were busy putting up chairs and breaking down the coffee area.  

Meanwhile the store wasn't closing for an hour (it was 11pm). I asked one of the cleaners why they weren't helping customers and she said because they were short staffed all day.  I have no idea what that means.  

It's bad business for workers to be closing down a store that is open, when you have customers wanting to give you money.  And making them wait for a long time to give you money will definitely cause them to resent you.

I love this restaurant.  I have not  been there for dinner yet, but it is the only place I want to go for brunch, from now on.  They do everything right.  From the amazing food, prepared exactly as I ask, to the strong, delicious coffee, the beautiful interior and really nice bathroom with gorgeous smelling hand soap. The wait-staff is cool and unobtrusive, yet efficient.  

It's like when you go to a restaurant and you think, 'why did they open, nothing feels right', with Vee Vee I feel the opposite.  It's like they effortlessly throw it all together and it just works.

I have no idea about the content of this magazine, because I cannot get past the amaturish design.  Did they run out of money?  What advertiser would want their content anywhere in or around that layout?

It's unacceptable that in a relatively large and cosmopolitan city we have to settle for this standard of design.  If one of a city's main magazines is below cutting edge or beautiful, it degrades the cultural relavance of the whole place.  http://tinyurl.com/4a3nza

I am so happy with the tatoo I got on Sunday, you can see it here http://cloudoutloud.tv....  Chad Chesko, the tatoo artist, was very cool and very fast - important when getting a tatoo.  It actually felt good afterwards.

The food is amazing.  Creamy Salt Cod - to die for.  And they always give me a complementary desert!  I don't know why, but it's cool.  

The atmosphere is so great.  I am a self-professed aesthete, and I just love how that room makes me feel.  It's intimate, yet has great energy and good music.  Bathrooms are nice too.

They only accept cash, which is annoying, but my bank is across the street, so no big deal.  

I would give this place 4.5 stars, but the owner, a woman, was very rude to our really sweet waitress.  Three separate times I felt uncomfortable by the way she was speaking to this girl - and the girl is fantastic.

So... that's it - I love the place, I just hope there's less negativity next time, and more people being nice to each other.

I have been going to Emerge for a couple of years, and love all of their services.  In the summer, it's so cool, after a massage or facial you can lay in the sun on their terrace, and they will order lunch for you from the great restaurants downstairs.

I am writing the review though, specifically for Anna, who has been cutting and coloring my hair for a year now.  I have been foiling my hair for 10 years now, consistently.  I have lived in 4 countries and 5 cities, including NYC and London, and noone has been as great as Anna.  This is the first time, actually, that I have been loyal to one person for so long!

I think every person should boycott this company until they clean up the fire-mess they left behind them over a year ago.  The whole block on Center Street between Grovenor Rd. and Pond Street is a burned out mess.  Where there could be thriving business or residential housing, there is a structure that looks like the Ghetto.  Also, if it wasn't obvious already that this company cares nothing for their community, there are gaping holes where the old Century 21 stood, where kids, adults, homeless, etc people could easily climb in for shelter and get seriously hurt.

Is this legal?  The reason Century 21 gives for not rehabing this property, is that they are in a legal battle with the neighbors, who do not want them to build more stories on the building.  Why, in the meantime, can they not at least hire artists from the neighborhood to make the place look interesting / pleasing until this is all settled?

Century 21 would show JP that they respect the community and their business neighbors by taking care of this issue immediately.  They could make this work for them through publicity even, if they don't feel doing it out of decency is a good enough reason.

I am their biggest fan.  When they open a new store I get there as soon as possible, and I have never been disapponted.  I've walked out of there with amazing Prada Pants, Gucci Shirt, Brooks Brothers Cashmere Coat, under $150 - no joke.  I do think I am a lucky shopper because I am (good) fashion obsessed, but it would be hard to go wrong there.

Paula Callaghan tirelessly helped us find our home.  She was professional, committed and most of all she made us feel that she understood we were making the biggest decision of our life.  I already recommended McCormack and Scanlan to a family member, and I highly recommend them here.
