Nothing but great experiences here!
I was in pescadero for 3 days and came into this store multiple times. The best thing is to come on a weekend. They only do BBQ on the weekends and man is it worth it!
We ordered 1/2 chicken w/ potato and macaroni salad and then a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was good, but nothing too exciting.
The chicken on the other hand was AMAZING and perfectly grilled with adequate BBQ sauce and nice crispy skin. Both side salads were excellent, however the potato was the best! I saw a lot of other patrons in the picnic area with the ribs, and that is what I will go for next time. The ribs are a decent slab and looked so moist and juicy.
Skip the "scoop" ice cream and grab an its it on the front ice cream case.
Friendly staff, general necessities and plenty of beer/drinks/snacks for your picnic or the road.
Also, lots of cyclists stopping here, the picnic area is a safe place to keep an eye on your bike while eating some good grub!

Great goat cheese. Word on the street is they will start carrying goat's milk ice cream soon! I will definitely be back to buy some of that.
We bought the cranberry walnut and the apricot pistachio because you don't often see fruit pairings with goat cheese. They were both amazing but we liked the cranberry better. The apricot seemed to overpower the cheese a bit.
Will be back to try more cheese and get some of that ice cream!

Great pie and great homemade bread! The grocery store takes credit card charges over $10, but the sandwich shop in the back only takes cash.
Their pie has a perfect crumble on top and a moist crust. Whether you go for a mini pie, $5 or a whole pie at around $16 it is worth it! Better than Duarte's down the road and cheaper.
We had some of their fresh made artichoke and garlic herb bread. Was amazing! Also, by fresh I mean placed on the display rack still HOT! I ate some right away and then left the bread on the dash for the rest of the day to continue the warm gooey just baked bread feeling throughout the afternoon.
Pass on the sandwiches in the back, they were overpriced and just okay. Plus the service wasn't great. Buy fixins to make your own instead. It will be cheaper and better!

Went here this past weekend while on a mini vacation on the coast.
The meal was pretty decent overall, but not amazing. Recommendable, but a little over priced. It gets 4 stars because the sides are amazing and worth a trip.
I had the artichoke soup which was good, but could have used a dollop of mayo to give it that extra tang. Otherwise, it tasted exactly how you would think purred artichoke hearts would be. Next time I'll try the green chile soup. I also had the calamari which was pretty standard fare however there was homemade cocktail sauce with plenty of horseradish inside to give that kick I love so much.
My dining companion had the pork chops with homemade apple sauce and mashed potatoes. Unfortunately the pork chops were horribly dry. However, like I said above, the apple sauce was GREAT and kind of made up for the dry chop, especially when eaten together.
The couple at the neighboring table ordered the steamed artichokes, 2 for $3, which just might be the most reasonable thing on the menu. Anyway, it came with an aolie and they were practically licking the sauce cup, so I imagine that sauce was great as well.
The pie was okay, the crust was a bit dry and bland for my taste, but seemed to be a traditional crust. The pie came out warm but I think having Ice Cream on the plate saved the crust for me, however it tasted like dryers. Save yourself the $8 a slice (I know NUTS) and go down the street to Arcangeli Grocery Co. - Norm's Market. Their pie has a more cumble/sweet crust and is a lot cheaper.

Had an amazing dinner with two friends here!
Not sure if it was because we just finished watching "Yes Man" or because the menu is so enticing but we decided to be a bit adventurous and try new items.
The best of our sampling: renkon (lotus root) chips & fish cakes (basically and adult Japanese version of an amazing fish stick). The Picante roll wax also delightful.
Great quality, very reasonably priced, excellent service. Great happy hour deals!

What a great store and lunch spot!
This store has most things you would find in whole foods and has an amazing little restaurant in the back. They are only open for lunch but they have excellent food!
I had a vegan black bean wrap that came with with chips and salsa. The salsa was so good I could drink the stuff. The nice woman that served me said I could buy it if they get advanced notice as they make it fresh! Visiting from out of town I won't be able to get any because they are closed on the weekends, about the only downfall of this whole place.
I also got to sample the peanut butter smoothie, yum! The cupcakes looked great too but I was too full to put one down the hatch.
Will be back next memorial weekend, hope the locals keep this place Around so I can enjoy this great lunch spot again!

Not much to add, delicious food and great service!
Hard to find the place (its attached to a bar, but you can enter through an alleyway that has a cast iron gate) and street parking around there sucks! Bring cash because sometimes the ATM located in the attached bar is out of service. There is a bank up the road 1/4 mile, but that's kind of a pain at night when you just want to devour the amazingness that is Wally's food!

A real family establishment!
I went here on the recommendation of a friend and I love greek food so it didn't take much encouragement. I wasn't dissapointed. As soon as we walked in the owner greeted us and asked us if it was our first visit. (I figure he knew I wasn't a regular) and then were patient while we figured out what we were ordering. You order at the counter then sit down and they bring it to you, similar to how Jack's is set up.
I got the gyro plate ($6.99) and it was a ton of food! The tzatziki was great and the lamb was so tender and flavorful

My favorite pho place is in Oakland, CA but this is not bad and pretty amazing for Chico fare! Good service and a friendly and clean atmosphere. :)
The broth is amazing! I always order shrimp pho w/ beef broth which I had here. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and fresh. My only complaint was that the noodles were a bit chewy, and I'm not sure if that is a result of under or over cooking, but they were not as good as my regular pho place.
We also had their version of pot stickers for an appetizer and they were good but a little oily. Nothing a napkin didn't fix, but still a bit of a hassle.
Will be back here for sure, pho is a great cure for a winter cold and amazing comfort food.

Their mexican pastries in the case are pretty good and cheap. A treat you can't find many places and def. worth $1!
