The food was delicious though, and the portions huge. The fresh (and warm) bread was nice, and they had no problem bringing a few refills. We mentioned that we'd be sharing a dish and they did the work of splitting and creating two plates ahead of time. The only downside was the chicken was smaller, but seemed cooked as long as the whole portion, so it was a little dry. The shrimp appetizer was near-perfect, and although it seemed pricy at $12 for ~12 shrimp, it was the best dish of the night.
The service on the night we went was on the slow side though. Throughout the meal and after we were waiting for the host for long stretches of time. The entire dining area is one large room (aside from patio seating) so it does get somewhat loud. We were still able to hear each other at a medium sized table without shouting, but it was close. Overall I thought the food quality was great, with everyone agreeing on that, but the service could use a bit more attention. The manager did stop by our table on the way out and offer a free appetizer/dessert for next time, although I think we'd be going back even without it -- just on a less busy night.
