So far so good, I can't complain much since there isn't many Vietnamese restaurants near by. But this place isn't bad at all.  Since moving to the area, this is our pho go to spot since its walking distance.

Pho- decent enough to come back for more. Their portions are good and prices are decent.

Spring rolls- premade, not bad.

Eggrolls- always nice and hot when served.

Jelly fish salad- this was a hefty portion, tasted good.

Grilled pork and egg roll noodles #56- this dish is good, the noodles were a little undone or dry once, but overall good.

Service is ok, they always  forget to give me the plate of veggies for the pho, so I always find myself requesting it after the food comes out.  Good spot for a Vietnamese fix.

Not much to complain about, been to other locations and they're all pretty good at what they do.

Great burgers, smushed buns and a bunch of free toppings to go with it.  Large order of fries at go well with malt vinegar.

Don't forget the free peanuts, I take it home for my parrot as her treats.

I like this target, nice and big.  For the most part, they have the items in stock.  The store is kept clean and the staff is friendly.

My go to target for sure.

One of my favorite markets. Always crowded and has most of the produce stocked.  Meat and fish prices are decently priced and pretty good quality.  They keep the place pretty clean for an Asian market.
They're hot food area is decent too, I get their whole duck.

I definitely would have love to give them more than just 2 stars, but it has to be known... their service with a large group just wasn't working for them.
I know working with large groups is difficult, but it was just uncalled for.

Lets start with the service, the waitress was a little moody, it was her way or no way. She was also always right, not the customers attitude. We had a party of a little less then 30. They took our order fine and ordered appetizers and entree all together.
We ordered 2 appetizers and one came out, the other came out after a few of us got our entrees.  The problem here was, they didn't have their timing set for serving us almost all at once. Instead, we all got served randomly with 30 minute gaps.  I literately could have finished my meal before the 2nd appetizer came to our table and before everyone else got served at the table I was at.  Who eats their meal in front of people without waiting for everyone else meal to come out? We asked and she said it's not going to happen, you will wait a long time waiting for everyone else entree to come out. What?? Even had one plate reheated and it came out extra dry. So service, sucked.

Food:

The food itself was great. We had the tamales and empanadas as our appetizers. Those two dishes are worth a taste, very good.

Got their first steak dish- reminded me of poutine, fries with sliced steak and onions on top with a side of rice. Very well flavored, meat was a little dry but good.

Also tried their ceviche mixo- mixed seafood ceviche, very good. I got their spicy, but it wasn't as spicy as I expected, but good flavors.

Cornuts was good and free.
Green hot sauce, this was medium spicy, tasted more spicy then their spicy hot. Good sauce!

Overall, really wish their service wasn't so bad, I will come back and try it out again without a large group and be happy up update any changes. Until then...

Came in to try their jajangmyun. It was different, skinny noodles and no cubes of potatoes or meat, just onions and minced meat. Wasn't bad, but I guess it could've been better.

Also tried the Jjam ppong- the seafood one, this was pretty good, not as spicy as I hoped and not much seafood, 2 shrimps, 3 squids and 2 clams.

Potstickers- these were pretty good.

Sweet and sour pork dish- this came out nice and crispy, the fried chicken pieces, sauce was sweet, good balance. It was drenched so that was nice, sauce was on the bottle of the plate.

Soondae- Korean blood sausage- filled with vermicelli and everything else from an animal, this was good. It's bland, dip it in salt and it's a good beer appetizer. Liked the texture.

Overall, service is horrible here, food is decent and pretty decent prices for most things.  Maybe I'll come back.. just maybe.

Overpriced Vietnamese food? Well of course, you're on University Ave!

I didn't get to experience the dine in part, we ordered to go. The place was packed and very up scale looking.

What we ordered:

Salt & Pepper Calamari- this was pretty tasty, even after sitting in a box and getting soggy, it still held it's texture, I can only imagine how it would be if I dined in.

Issan Grilled Sausage- this was very flavorful as well.

Shrimp Spring Rolls- just your average spring roll from any place you can get it, did nothing special to it.

Taro Root Rolls- fried egg roll! Good option for the veggie eaters.

Crab & Garlic Noodles- made with glass noodles, different, wasn't strong in the garlic department, plenty of crab chunks, pretty good flavors. Good portion.

Clay Pot Cod- this was saucy and flavorful. very small portion.

Lemongrass Sea Bass- good taste, cooked nicely. just one fillet.

Shaking Beef- beef was well marinaded, good dish. good size.

Chili-Lime Aubergine- grilled eggplants, different, but not much flavor going on, must dip it in their sauce to get some flavor going.

Festive Rice-Steamed long grain rice, coconut, turmeric & salam leaves- small portion of rice, pretty good flavors.

Overall, food might have tasted waaay better dining in, but the experience of dining out was pretty darn good. They're a little pricey and the portions are ok, the fish portions were tiny for the price they were charging. I would be disappointed if that was my entree and had nothing else to eat, I'll be hungry. I'll be sure to come back and try the dining in experience.

A great experience for anyone who can't catch show's in Vegas. Yeah, it's true, most Cirque Du Soleil shows are similar, but they all have some story to them.. You see one, you've seen them all. With all the costumes and scenes, shows from them are just worth going to. It's the experience you're having.

Dim Sum King

This place is pretty good, decently priced and quick of course.

Nothing better then a quick fix of dim sum to point or order without waving down a cart.  I came in right when they opened so everything was piping hot and so much better when it's fresh... everything is... besides left over pizza...

So i got the shrimp dumpling, turnip cake and shrimp and chives dumpling.

Turnip cakes were fat slices, 3, and pretty darn good. Had nice long strips of the turnip itself which was nice.

Shrimp and chives was tasty also, not greesy.

Shrimp dumpling, this was good hot, but as usual the outside gets a bit hard when it cools, so warm it up again and enjoy! Or eat there..

Overall, pretty good experience and when I'm in need of a fix for dim sum early morning or mid day or even for dinner, I know where to go.
