I went to Joe's for a good meal and got a new best friend.

Have you been here? it really delivers.

We went for breakfast on a Saturday. Joe & the MRS. were taking orders, cooking food and chatting with all the customers. From the moment we walked in we felt like regulars.

We got grits while we were waiting for our food.

It took a while because we ordered almost everything on the menu- biscuits & gravy, belgian waffles, hash browns, omelet, french toast and more.

Everything was delicious and tasted like good old fashion home cooking.

Going back SOON for lunch!

After reading the reviews and looking at the menu online, I was SUPER not impressed. Not worth it. Not going back, except maybe for take out cake.

We went as a family after my sisters high school graduation.

The only thing La Jolla Grove has going for it, is the look. It is really pretty. The fresh feel to the indoor lemon trees is kind of cool.

Oh and the brushetta was good.

We were in a larger group so we got to try lots of things off the menu. The salmon was dry, the pest chicken pasta was bland, the tortellini sauce wasn't that great either & the beef tenderloin was trying to hard to taste like something.

The servers wear all white and our had an apron that was so stained and dirty that it looked like she used to chop meat in the back. It was also covered in pen stains from leaving pens without tops in her apron pocket.

Over all it was a bad experience.

The desserts were the saving grace, buy you can get those take out.
Try the lemon cake, the chocolate moose and the creme brulee- it has a nice citrus taste to it.


Other Challenges- it is all in a wide open setting so I imagine its quite loud when busy. Also the parking at the Riverwoods shopping center has gotten so much worse & beware of outdoor summer concerts.

Not very impressed. I kept hearing that the tart flavors at Earth fruits were better than other places. I went this weekend to try them out since they are closer than my normal yogurt shop.

I was disappointed. The tarts all tast kind of the same. I tried the cookies and cream and ened up doing a cup of that. After I ate it I wished I had just driven to my normal shop.

There was a large fruit selection which was nice. Since I got cookies and cream I didnt end up trying any of them.

My biggest eh, was the atmosphere. I have seen so many places try to make it at "The Corner" and it really is just a terrible location. It is hard to get in and out of the parking lot & to find a space.

I would consider going again to another location. Maybe that just started my whole trip off bad.

I love cupcakes and have tried many of the new cup cake bakeries that seem to be popping up everywhere. I LOVED these cupcakes.

First time-  I went late at night when the selection wasn't that great the first time, but the Madagascar vanilla was REALLY good and the cupcakes are big. Plus I love the selections of tons of hot cocoa's.

When we went back I got the smore cupcake which is delicious.

I like that they have a cupcake schedule you can take so if you are waiting for a favorite flavor you know when to get it.

The hot cocoa's are great. I have tried the steamers and the iced hot chocolates. Both were good. My mom liked the extra thick ones, and even had them make it with cream so that it was extra extra thick.

Worth trying if you are in the provo/orem area. The brighams landing gets kind of overlooked so don't be srpirsed if you miss it.

Also they are open late all week so perfect for after a movie when you want a little treat and nothing is open.

We went to do the hellfire sushi challenge for my BIL birthday.

The hellfire sushi is not what it looks like on Man Vs. Food. It is simply a crappy sushi roll with LOADS of hot pepper powder piled on top.

Also it is not as cheap as advertised. We were told two or three people could do the challenge together. All that means is for the first two rolls they charge you TWICE without bring out any more food. Not worth your time.

The non sushi items are not that great. The miso soup was cold and over all I like other places I have been a LOT better. Even when you factor in the novelty of it being on Man Vs. Food.

I was so disappointed. My husband and I were looking forward to the Savage Shrimp.

SHE ONLY TAKES CASH AND COULDN'T BREAK A $20 bill.

It was really frustrating. How can you not have change when your plate cost $12.50 and you KNOW everyone will be pulling $20 bills out of a local ATM?

While looking for places to eat on Kauai this kept coming up. We were out of our hotel all night for the tsunami warning. Literally parked in a wal-mart parking lot. So when we heard dani's opened at 5am we were there.

However the food was just ok.
The service was fine.
but overall the restaurant was not that comfortable.

The menu is limited but a solid breakfast selections. Pancakes, waffles, omelets & eggs. They had local breakfast plates as well.

The pineapple pancakes were really good, but I just wish there was something more. Like coconut syrup or something fun.

The hot coco is a cup of hot water and a hot coco packet. Mix it your self. Not worth it.

If you are stuck in a tsunami and want a bfast place then head here. Otherwise look for something better.

I LOVED THIS PIZZA!!!!

The best part about it- DELICIOUS and not greasy. Several of my friend and I shared the BBQ Chicken pizza on the honey wheat crust. It was the perfect toppings and the crust with honey was delicious.

I know it sounds weird, but the crust with honey is actually really good. Try it out!

We have been going here every time my family visits Kauai. They are soooo delicious. The best part? You can order the sauces online to recreate these lovely little treats at home!
