Amazing Thai Cuisine

Neighborhood: North Hollywood
Amazing's was very watery, and lacked seasoning (salt) and flavor. It was very one note, and replaced most of the flavor with spice and water.
I also should note that by the time I took it home, all the curry was sediment at the bottom of the container.
The chicken was dry and tasteless.
I definitely have no reason to go back to them when there are so many others in the same neighborhood.

I have tried every BJJ school in the area, and this one is by far the best - especially if you want to train without the Gi. Show owner comment »

I went in to get my blackberry repaired. The woman said that they could fix it.
While she was trying to look up my account, there was a guy in one of the rooms dropping f*bombs talking to another employee about how someone got stabbed 90 times the night before.
The woman tried every computer in the office, but couldn't pull up my account. When I questioned her on how long I would have to wait, she replied somewhat unhappily with me, "whenever my computer works...maybe 10 minutes or 8 hours."
Also, when I started to show signs that I was not happy with the joking around by the employees while I was standing there waiting, one of the employees spoke in another language to the customer rep that was helping me. Although I don't know what was said, it is very unprofessionable and impolite.

But even though I was probably one of their smallest purchases of the day, their guys in the hard showed me lots of different stones to meet my needs.

My prefix lunch was very creative and good, although my bacon wrapped rabbit wasn't something I would order again. I had never had rabbit, so I have no way to say that it was the Chef's fault - I just assume that I just don't like rabbit too much.
Wolfgang puck said hello to the table, and each dish plating was spectacular. Prices were between $20 - $40 for an entree for lunch, which doesn't seem too bad for me for one of the two Michelin star 2 Star restaurants in LA.
The deli is top-notch, a definate 5 star Italian deli. There are many, MANY items that are from Italy that I could not buy anywhere else. A true find.
First of all, if you are considering going to Lake Arrowhead and you like good food, exercise and people, then you are sadly mistaken. In a town that is as big as a Malibu trailer park, it has two McDonald's and enough disturbed teenage residents that makes you wonder about the fate of the human race.
Wanting a great meal, we found the newest, most expensive place to eat. This was Bin 189.
The waitress let us know on more than 3 occasions that they had a new Executive Chef and how excited they were of their new menu. Let me cut to the chase:
1. Their Steak and Fries tasted rotten. Seriously. It made me wonder if the Chef knows how to taste his food.
2. My duck was under-seasoned and extremely fatty.
3. Their appetizers that we tried were average.
A definate 1 star for the price, but the food wasn't all bad...and since it was my fault choosing to go to Lake Arrowhead in the first place, I am adding one extra star.

Piriya's curry is quite flavorful (if a little sweet) and complex. Next to "Amazing", it blew it out of the water.
The curry was much thicker to the watered down "Amazing", and wasn't nearly as spicy (I ordered both mild).
Also, the women behind the counter is wonderful and treats me like I have been coming there for years.
I am happy to give them my business, although I wish they didn't charge extra for credit card transations under $12.
