We found this place, using a http://restaurant.com gift cert.  It was a pretty great restaurant experience overall. We didn't get complimentary bread as other tables did and they also didn't have the one wine my wife loves in stock, however, the pasta was amazing, very rustic & authentic, reminded us of our time in Italy. Cozy ambiance, great food. Pear Chocolate tarte was also nice, but didn't deliver as much as i'd hoped. Should have stuck with the Tiramisu.

I'll be frank. this place was great. they let us take out a kayak at 3:30p for 2 hours with just enough time to make it back at 5:30p closing time. We rented a tandem which ended up being $40, they also do full day for $50. These prices are on par with Zuma Jay's, but far better than the others in Marina Del Rey.  The staff is super friendly and very welcoming. paddles, life vests are included in the price.

Kayaks are kept on the south side of the PCH, so we didn't have to carry them across the street. We launched right across the street and had a nice trip out on the ocean, saw a sealion and a dolphin in a kelp garden to the west in about half a mile out from the malibu lagoon.  They told us there's a repeat customer discount, so definitely a place to consider starting a relationship.

Only tough thing here is finding parking. We got a spot on the PCH, but it's dog eat dog. I suppose it's better on a weekday.

Also of note, there is a little restaurant under the rental place, so you can get a treat after you're done.

Went here last night. had been interested to check it out since watching top chef, but sadly no Govind sightings. we went with a group for a birthday gathering, 7 of us. We had a few cocktails before we sat down. A few micro-brew beers and specialty cocktails like the Basil 8 and Lavender Mojito, both which were great. They sat us quite punctually.

We tried a few apps included deviled eggs (which i've never had at a restaurant), hummus plate and fried pot pie.  The hummus was fine and all with some extra accents, but the deviled eggs were fantastic, much better than the standard Thanksgiving or Easter fare. They were so light and fluffy, delish.  The deep fried pot pie bites were simply amazing, like a tiny pot pie in each bite, which is the perfect pot pie serving for me personally. Apps were all successful for sharing too.

For main dishes everyone went w/ burgers. My fiancee went Veggie, which was pretty good. She was pleasantly surprised that it came w/ avocado.  I tried the pork burger which was also pretty great. It was quite messy, as others' were, but i managed. I tried the kennebec fries, and asked what 'kennebec' indicated, and i was told it is simply where the potatoes are from. Were they any better than normal fries? not that i could tell. I suppose it's something different to everyone serving sweet potato fries, but it just wasn't that unique for me. I'd still prefer sweet potato.  (Read kennebec here: http://www.kennebecpot... )

Bar service was great, table service was a little slow, lack of silverware on table, but overall a great experience and definitely recommend.

Dr. Stabley is a great dentist. He's very personable and quite funny. i've been going to him for about 10 years now. Even though i live in Los Angeles, i save my dentist visits for his office when i go home to see my family. He has a tough stance against the use of Mercury.

office is adjacent to Rochester High school and across the street from a strip mall w/ some decent food options.

Desmond really rocks it. Pagan burial grounds, cliffs of moher, underground caves, trad' music. it was almost like being in lord of the rings. The food at the end was tasty too. a great way to end the day w/ a beer on such a magical bus.

It just seems to taste better here. It might be the view or the people, but i definitely recommend this spot for tourists. I'm guessing it's probably not a hot spot for locals. Learn about the rich history of the Guinness people.

I'd have to say this is probably the ultimate budget sushi value in the neighborhood.  1/2 price rolls all day (on selected basic rolls). $2 beers, $12 bottles of wine. if you want to dine like a champ, check it out.

Otherwise, i also really like Sake House Miro, better ambience, they have way more Godzilla posters (http://www.yelp.com/bi...)

WARNING: WORST PHARMACY OF ALL TIMES ! !

INCOMPETENT STAFF ALERT. PHARMACISTS ARE ACTUALLY REALLY OLD CLOWNS ! !

THIS IS REALLY A ZERO STAR RATING ! !

[This review is intended for the Pharmacy only, not the rest of the store, which is actually decent.]

This is seriously the worst Pharmacy of all times. My fiance and I have lived in the neighborhood for 3 years and usually gone to this pharmacy thinking that eventually they'll be able to get something right.  Think not. You'd think this place was run by children, or monkeys, but in facts it's just run by the most inept people of all times. Shop here only for 24 hour convenience by avoid this pharmacy at all costs. Most pharmacy visits average about 35 minutes.

Every month my fiance makes a trip here to fill her prescrip. Every singe time, the same old lady asks her if she's been there before. After my fiance explains that she comes there every month, the lady proceeds to tell her, her name is not in the system and that she's never been there. After my fiance spells out here name a few times, writes it on paper, then the pharmacist will come back and tell her she found her name in the system.

Usually they tell her that she doesn't have a presription on file and that she'll need to get her doctor to send them a new one. Then somehow after about 10 minutes of talking to other pharmacists, they'll see that it's on file.

If it's one of the chance encounters that they actually find her prescription in the computer, they usually tell her that they don't carry her prescription, and that they never have. They ask her to go to her doctor to get a new prescription. This is the same prescrip she's gets every month from this place. After talking arguing that she get's it there, they usually talk to another pharmacist and then come back and say they do in fact have it.  come back in an hour to pick it up.

When she goes back to pick it up, she has to go through the same exercise with them finding her name, insurance etc in the computer. As if she's a stranger in there for the first time. Was i not just here an hour ago? did i do something to disgruntle or offend you off. Are you not capable of generating short term memories or facial recognition?

Most recently my fiance had pneumonia. When they filled her prescrip, they gave her the wrong dosage, in fact, it was over double. Luckily she read it before she took it.  They didn't apologize, but gave her a $25 coupon, which didn't even work when she took it back to use it. Insult to injury. They've also sent both her and myself home with the wrong medications, not even remotely close to what was prescribed.

Most of the pharmacists are entirely incompetent. I don't know how they passed any kind through any type of pharmacy school. Many of them speak as if they are ESL and never really took the time to learn english (or spanish for the local LA flavor). Every time i go there they're constantly lowering the bar and bringing my level of astonishment to new heights. Every time i'm in there i see disgruntled patrons angry for the very same reasons.  I've seen many of the pharmacists get reamed out, essentially verbally abused by partrons, and they pharmacists don't really seem to care at all. I think that they feel they do a really good job. they're always laughing, telling jokes to each other and ignoring customers.   It's amazing how consistent they are with poor customer service.

I will say that there are a few younger, smart & helpful pharmacists, i wish they could just get rid of the old hacks.  When you get a good one, they make for small victories when you do get them.  Why do we still go there? i try to avoid it if possible, but they are the closest 24 hr. pharmacy, the closest one within walking distance .
