Finally, another restaurant in Baltimore makes the list of great breakfast spots.

The food is tasty & relatively cheap. The breakfast casseroles are $5 and are appropriately sized for breakfast.

Jing Jing Szechwan Hunan Gourmet

I returned to Jing Jing after a 5+ year hiatus. Jing Jing was one of the few Chinese restaurants in the Palo Alto-area that I enjoyed eating it.

The food is still good, but not great. I definitely appreciate several vegetarian additions to the menu. Specifically, the vegetable won-tons with chili sauce were supurb.

Miss Shirley's growth has turned into a chain restaurant ... without the chain. The food is still generally good but the charm seems to have worn off with the addition of ear pieces for the wait staff. I feel like I am out in the suburbs and no longer a local eatery.

I ate at Miss Shirley's for the first time today. There was no wait, on a Sunday, but that was only because of the god awful hour we ate (8:30). By the time we left the line was fourty people strong, all waiting in the hot parking lot.

The food was excellent. My German Apple Pancake was a monster, it could (and probably should) have fed three.

La Tasca is definitely at the "low end" of the spectrum for tapas restaurants in Baltimore. Fortunately, the prices are relatively low by comparison, making La Tasca a decent place to stop for a small meal when in Fell's Point.

I love the food, so I couldn't stay away forever. Fortunately, the service seems to have improved since my negative review several years ago.

I am still in love with the pumpkin and yoghurt garlic sauce.

Simple, delicious, afghan cuisine. Half the menu is vegetarian friendly. The pumpkin appetizer is to die for.

[Update: Unfortunately, on my last visit, we had bad, rude, service, starting with a 45 minute delay in seating after reservation time, and it only went downhill from there, including no service for the first thirty minutes we sat at the table. At the end, the "manager" came to speak with us, and instead of apologizing, simply made excuses such as "its busy"... that is never an excuse for royally screwing up a reservation and not making *any* attempt to rectify the situation.]

H-Mart is best asian grocery near Baltimore. I appreciate the large selection of rice, fruits (cheap mangos) and soy (tofu, milk) and can't seem to walk away without a least of bag of some strange gummy candy.

As a vegetarian I am shocked at the prospect of giving a steak house four stars.

The weekend brunch is very good with generous proportions and decent prices. When you throw in the included drink (i.e., a Bloody Mary) and its down right cheap.

Nam Kang

Nam Kang is a poorly decorated, basement-level, Korean with great food.

Like most of the other yelpers, my first encounters with Nam Kang were well past midnight. Korean food beats greasy diner food for those late night (inebriated) needs.

As it turns out, Nam Kang is great for lunch, too.

The menu was updated at some point in the past year to indicate which items can be made vegetarian. Who knew there were so many options beyond bibimbap sans beef?

Ended up at Juliette for dinner after bar hopping nearby. The roof deck was perfect, and the tasty (and reasonably priced) food was the bonus. I was content with the several vegetarian options on the menu but the moules frites were the hit of the table. My only regret is not saving room for dessert.
