Still delicious , even better service..I swear we had a waiter and two servers working our table..love it!
Right now Bobby-q's has a special offer / prix fixe menu .. choice of appetizer , 2 dinners, and a choice of 1 desert ( it's big) 27.99 not bad ...
Once again I love my meat smoked ... yea I said it. Brisket was falling off the bone tender, ribs good , love the coleslaw which is chopped into tiny pieces. lightly season and not greasy . The Q roll appetizers were a tasty start and kept us happy. Of course the complimentary cornbread is really good.. maybe my favorite in the valley.
BTW Ladies bathroom is cool in a stainless sink overkill kinda way... -

Wow , what a lovely surprise . On New Years Night my husband suddenly decides we are going out to eat, super. But low and behold everywhere we want to go to are closed for New Years Day. Bummer .
( how can you enjoy Glendale Glitters without food?)
So at the last minute I remember Bobby Q's hmm wonder if they are open .. yes and and thank you !
We begin smelling wonderful things in the parking lot. We are quickly seated and have the sweetest server.
Meal starts with our cornbread which was moist , sweet and tasty, served in a flat style not a muffin not a loaf...hmmm. But good.
Our daughter ends up with chicken strips ( very plentiful ) and macaroni and cheese--which my husband finished off and adored. Her meal was only 4.99 a steal!
Hubby and I shared a three meat combo meal with awesome ribs, brisket and pulled pork . We opted for the spicy BBQ sauce which we both liked. Our sides were a yummy coleslaw with pecans and roasted corn that they shave off the cob and saute after roasting wow.
Between the food , excellent service ( thanks Cassie?, Charise?
aaww I can't remember ) and peaceful ambiance , we really enjoyed our meal. We will be back.

Okay here is the deal , I have been here several times this summer. I just kind of kept coming back because they do a nice job with little to worry about. I am not a nail - mani - pedi fanatic, I don't have stickers , french tips , jewels, and other special items on my nails, it's kind of like , they look great on you but not my thing..
But here is why I keep coming back for feet maintaining:
1. They seem to always be open and have a seat available with no waiting
2. Very unintimidating , little pressure to buy the extras
3.Easy to get to , near shopping like Target, Ross and Michaels
4. The price is always reasonable 20ish depending if I get sea salt
5. Clean without reeking of bleach
6. Chairs are comfortable with gossip reading nearby
7. No Hassles

Well you know if I can't wait to take back Mom , it's got to be good! The hubby and my youngest all went to dinner Saturday. We went at prime dinner time and were pleasantly surprised at no wait.
We were torn between the Funghi Pizza and Yukon Gold/ Gorgonzola.
Each looked good when we saw them throughout the restaurant.
We ended up with Yukon Gold which I loved . Crust was super tasty.
Hubby is looking forward to going back and getting Funghi next time.
My ten year old baby had cheese pizza and loved it . Looking forward to next time.
I have two concerns most importantly... no bathroom !! What do you mean I have to stop shopping and walk down to the other side of the shopping area and go to a public bathroom?
My other problem the sizes , many items were hard to find in Large sizes, plenty of 4,6, and 2s but a little light in the larger sizes and rarely a 14. Bummer kids that going to limit my shopping pleasure for sure...Still liked it bunches ...

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen
Categories: Seafood, Cajun/Creole
really fast , effiecient without that fake cloying attitude. Felt like we were
the center of the restaurant. Funny how things like fast drink refills, quick service and welltime plate removal can do that.
And here is the kicker of the evening ..I know have ordered or tasted every dessert on thier dessert tray, scary but true. Did you know that three of their desserts are made fresh there the rest including cheesecakes are made in Texas and brought in. I got the fresh Brulee . yummy. Can't wait to go back.

Okay so we just went to New Orleans for our mini food eating tour. We still crave those interesting seafood /spice/ over the top flavors.
So Pappadeaux will do! or is it deaux? We hit the seafood here a couple times a year. It may be a chain but it feels unique to us.
And we love oysters on the half shell.
Strangely the place was not packed no waiting at 6:00 pm on a Friday night.
We started with oysters on the half shell , tasted fresh and not gritty.
My husband had the Blackened Catfish Opelousas With oysters, shrimp & crabmeat in a lemon garlic butter sauce with dirty rice.
I had the Texas Redfish on the Half Shell Creole roasted tomatoes, long stem artichoke hearts & capers in a light brown butter sauce.
Both were great but the catfish was the tastier.
My husband fell for the Turtle Brownie which was the downfall of the evening too sweet, too turtlely, oh well.
Great service , maybe the best we have had there. Why four star not five. Although it tasted great, we had better in New Orleans !

Gammage Auditorium
Categories: Performing Arts, Venues & Event Spaces
. I have been to Gammage close to a bizzilion times and here is the fact that stands out every single time. There are only a handful of restrooms for a whole auditorium of women. It is enough to make a yelper take a star away for such an oversight. What were they thinking as they constructed this building.." Oh no problem I am sure that 5 bathroom stalls will be plenty for the hundreds of women who need to go the bathroom at intermission. " For those who are seasoned ticket holders you know as soon you see the curtain closes for intermission you must sprint as fast you can to get a place in line. Hopefully there are alot of blue hairs and you can smoke past them .
If you are lucky the line will get creative and begin the undress and redress in the powder room area instead of the stall. It is a bladder battle women should not have to face.
The auditorium itself is nice enough but please can't we do something about the bathroom situation?

While I have enjoyed every yelp event ,both oye and uye , I have to say this one was stellar. I loved the food, each item was a delight . Who knew that a fish place would hit a home run with lamb chops? I am so glad we had a choice spot by the door where the food came out and we could grab the goodies as soon as the waiter came out. They definitely will be on my list of places to come back to. I am already craving those succulent crab cakes and goat cheese stuffed prawns. The ambiance of the place really provided a great theater for the terrific food and outstanding wait staff. I have to say I am amazed at the way the waiters, hostess, managers really worked the crowd. If we asked for water , plates, sodas it was there, pronto. The oyster area was a fun surprise and although I was not really listening to my oyster educator ,whatever kind I was eating was good to me.
It was great catching up with Jim and Audrey , Aileen , Donald, Brian, Joel and Amy . I even got meet in person Nadia, Tracey ,Kerstin and
Kevin and Marian. Thanks Gabi M. and Yelp what a fun night!!
