Yes, I'm very vocal about horrible services. And this one takes the cake for 2011. On one cold Sunday evening I got a flat tire. I quickly pulled a Google search on my phone and Green Towing came to view. I decided to call them (unfortunately) and they said they'd be out in 15 minutes. They also told me it'd be $50 charge. I thought, no problem, that sounds about right.
Unbeknownst to me, that's a $50 charge to just go out there. There's an additional $125 charge to change the tires! Talk about a wallet raping.
Fast forward 90 minutes later (yes, an hour and half later) my supposed savior arrives... in a shady beat up red mini van from the 80's. WTF?!?
The guy who shows up looks like he's more of a pool cleaner than some locksmith. Yes, you heard that right. He's a locksmith, who also does road side assistance on the side (in fact, the receipt says Locksmith Co. Double WTF?!?).
To add insult to injury, it takes him 10 minutes to figure out how to use his newly bought car jack, and the cheapo air pump he uses to put some air on the other tire (that was also unknowingly low on pressure) is the kind you'd get at the Dollar store (yes, the one that plugs in your car cigarette lighter and takes 1 minute to gain 1 PSI).
Fortunately, State Farm's road side assistance is reimbursing me for this, but the next time, please, send in at least someone who's competent and someone who's not that late. For that price they charged me, I expect some decent professionalism. But from the reviews of other people, this seems to be the norm. The only thing green about this company is the rotting stench of horrible misrepresentation of a service.
I went to this place at the last minute with friends last Friday. While the music was nothing to write home about, their unprofessional service takes the cake. While the mixed drinks were palatable and the on tap beer prices were reasonable, their attempts to double gouge lively and drunk customers is unacceptable. Receipts for CC payments automatically have Gratuity included while management has the balls of a goat to add an additional Tip line.
I payed my bill with the Tip line clearly marked -0- and one of the bartenders literally chased after me saying I ran off without paying. To add insult to injury, they give me a new receipt that's all of sudden double the amount with the same Gratuity/Tip shenanigans.
At this point, this had the makings of a hidden camera stint. I tell them they gave me the wrong bill and they proceeded to argue with me. Luckily, another one of my friends was nearby to vouch for what I originally had (definitely not 3-4 long islands).
They finally return with the first receipt, and I proceeded to mark the same -0- on their tips.
The punch line is, I check my statement today, and they not only ignored my attempts to NOT double Tip them, they actually charged my card a 46% gratuity tip.
I'm glad my CC takes care of charge disputes painlessly. Shame on you Little Temple!
