Yum, yum, yum! Best tapas in the North Shore, definitely worth the trip to Evanston! A great place to try new foods and share with friends. The baked goat cheese is a must, the tortilla española is authentic and the beef tenderloin with caramelized onions and horseradish is my favorite. Load up on appetizers and skip dessert! Also, the sangria is weak, but good.
Good salads. Great Tallgrass beef burgers! I've been to Inovasi for lunch a few times and found the service to be very polite and attentive. Substitutions are treated with ease and the portions are quite filling.

Awesome place to see a summer concert in Chicago! The free included parking at Soldier Field with free shuttle service is a definite plus, take advantage! It's much easier to see from the bleacher seats, which are at stage level, than standing on the floor. I just saw Nine Inch Nails perform there last night and it was absolutely stunning with the Chicago skyline as the backdrop. I love you Trent!

Nice, definitely romantic restaurant. Though quite overpriced in my opinion, but then again, I like to go out to eat and be served, not have to cook my own dinner! ;) Be prepared to leave the restaurant smelling greasy, so don't wear anything that you can't machine wash. And yes, oil stains do come out, but usually you must dry clean for that! I think this place is best for its chocolate fondue dessert, and most wonderful of all, no cleanup necessary (unlike fondue-ing at home). Save your $ for a nice steakhouse and then come here for dessert, the chocolate fondue is for sure worth the trip out alone! Beware if you are claustrophobic, this restaurant is tiny & cramped, it can be relieving to leave once fully crowded.
Good burgers and awesome cottage fries. The portions are huge, all sandwiches can be easily shared by 2 people. The service is good though it can get busy at times. I recommend this place for an affordable, quick bite to eat...as long as you don't mind sitting amongst a "mature" crowd (remember, it's affordable here). Not too much for vegetarians to choose from, salads or a veggie sandwich. Also, the beer list is disappointing, only 2 beers on tap, I'd be happy if they had a few more! Dessert was good, try the oreo ice cream cake!
Delicious food and great service. It's a nice, small and friendly place. My family sat in a comfy booth, with a perfect view to the kitchen and got to watch the chefs and staff at their best. The dishes were presented beautifully and they all tasted great! My folks went straight to their favorite entree, the Cioppino, a fish stew tons of fresh ingredients. I had the fish special with mushrooms and asparagus which was recommended by our waitress and indeed proved to be quite tasty. Dessert was a surprising slice of Tres Leches cake (at an Italian restaurant?), that was pretty satisfying as well. The only thing I was not impressed with was the Caesar salad. The dressing was weak, and I preferred my ma's balsamic vinaigrette house salad much better!

Ravinia is one of the best summer evening activities in the Chicago area. A beautiful outdoor setting and live music mesh together to create the perfect ambiance for a summer picnic. Sitting on the lawn is definitely the place to be, you can eat, drink and talk (unless it's a symphony!) and everyone around is really friendly. Opt for the pavilion solely if you are there to listen to the music because the lawn is an experience in and of itself. I recommend bringing a picnic, but if you are short on time there are 2 restaurants and a take out cafe that offer plenty of delicious options...try the garlic Parmesan fries and the foot-long hot dogs, worth the $. If you have a big group or need to claim your "territory," be sure to arrive by 5:30pm, smaller groups can always find a spot to squeeze in anytime! Also, check the online schedule for the free pre-concert wine tastings!

Delicious food and awesome margaritas. Ask for the 60 oz XL, its not on the menu, but it's a must try! Raspberry is delicious. Large enough for the whole table, the XL margarita makes for some devious photo opportunities! Besides the drinks, the food is also delicious. The guacamole is flavorful and fresh. I had tamales with the best mole sauce ever. Go during the week if you want to avoid the crowd.
The closest to authentic Mexican food on the North Shore! The entire menu is extremely affordable and delicious. The guacamole is super fresh and my favorite!
