  DO NOT BUY YOUR PHONES HERE.  GO TO THE OFFICIAL VERIZON CORTE MADERA STORE INSTEAD.  This so-called "Premium Retailer" is NOT AFFILIATED with Verizon.   I had the worst customer service experience of my life in this store.  I have filed with the Better Business Bureau.  
  
  Buyers Beware!  This EVO store is not technically affiliated with Verizon Wireless (despite the huge Verizon sign out front, and the Verizon branding on everything in the store).  As a result, any Verizon promotions ARE NOT VALID at this store.  And if you're not happy, you can't take it up with Verizon customer service or with any other location.  You have to deal with this store, and with these people.  Trust me, you don't want to do that.  It's labeled a "premium retailer" and supposedly you get a great "boutique style" sales experience here.  The only difference between this store and the official stores is that this one had fancier chairs, and had far, far worse customer service.
  
  Not only did the person who sold me my phones not explain to me the different nature of this store, but she lied to me about one of the phone's capabilities (either out of ignorance or an attempt to make a sale).  
  
  When we were unhappy & tried to return the phone, we were told by the store's manager (Nick Talbert) that we could take advantage of a Buy 1-Get 1 Droid Eris offer, so we ordered another Eris to be delivered.  Not only did that phone never get ordered (!!!), but when we came back we were told by the salesperson present (Velda Gallardo) that the Eris offer was not valid and that we would not be able to use it.  
  
  ("What?" you might think.  Oh wait...there's more).
  
  Velda told us that the store manager would call us the next day to talk to us about the issue (she had wanted us to physically come in, but hey...with jobs we could not, so she finally said he'd call us).  But, he never did call us.  And when we did physically come in on the Saturday that our phone was to be delivered, and when the manager Nick was supposed to be present, he was not present.  A Droid Eris was available, but we were Velda told us definitively that we would not get a Buy 1-Get 1 deal and had to pay full price.  We asked to speak to the manager, and were told he was not there after all but we could come back in four days and he would be.
  
  We cut our losses at this point and returned the crappy phone we were sold with false promises.  We went to the Corte Madera official Verizon store instead and had an absolutely excellent experience there instead.  We gave EVO every opportunity to help us...all in all making five physical trips to the store and calling three times.  Not once were we contacted back or helped.  
  
  Sadly, all told we lost over $200 (between a return re-stocking fee & lost promotional discounts) on this store's horrible promises, lies, lack of follow-up, and overall crappy attitude toward actually giving customers a good experience.  
  
  I am disappointed in Verizon for allowing EVO (whatever on earth it actually is) to use their name, their brand, and their phones and plans to lure in customers and not respect Verizon promotions or Verizon standards.  Shame on Verizon, but bigger shame on this store and its management.
  
  If I could give them zero stars I would.  This store is not a premium retailer of any kind.  It should be shut down, and I hope it is.    Show owner comment »
