The food here isn't bad. It's really great for being vegetarian, but I can't help but feel like there's a little something missing. The chili is great--you definitely don't miss meat when eating this. And their portobello burger is fine as well. Nothing spectacular, but not a bad choice as well.

Their mac and yease makes me so so happy because I can't eat dairy, and my best friend swears by their potato salad. Also, I love that they put potato salad on their sandwiches. This may sound odd to some of you, but it's absolutely delightful.
You get a lot of food--the sandwiches, burgers, subs, and wraps are pretty large. You could probably split them (especially the subs) with another person, but you'll probably want the entire thing for yourself.
Their smoothies are good, but the "milkshakes" are awesome! Surprisingly creamy for lacking dairy.
The staff there is really nice, and the restaurant has a..vegan atmosphere. Grab a copy of the Stranger while you wait for your food, check out their posters, listen to the music. I love it here.

The salads here are very large, even when ordered in half. The sandwiches are just the right size! The side offered tends to be small, but that doesn't matter as much as the main portion of the meal anyway.
Food is fresh, pizza's have great toppings.. a great place to go.
The menu, however, sounded great, though very heavy on dairy. Their prix fixe option is great and very reasonably priced! And really, the food and beverage was delicious.
Do be warned though, that they grow a lot of their herbs, garnishes, etc. I respect them for that. However, the mint leaf had a teeny caterpillar on it. They should be more thorough before they present, especially because the establishment was not so busy at the time, maybe two other tables were full.
I ordered a heirloom tomato salad and a foie gras platter, and my friend had a salad as well I believe, as well as kobe beef tartare.
Everything was delicious, especially the seared foie gras, and the service there was absolutely delightful. They were very nice to us--two college kids--when their typical clientele is obviously of an older crowd.
I definitely plan on returning here for a longer meal.

We thought to check out this place's menu, give it a fair look over, and were turning around to walk away and fill our soon-to-be-starving stomach's elsewhere when we hear a voice beckoning to try a sample of the tri-tip.
It's good.
Surprisingly good.
So we look at the menu again, for real this time, and decide to walk in. And stop a few steps later.
We were expecting a sit down restaurant, and it is made obvious by the overhead menu that this is not such an establishment. The guy at the register gives us a very friendly explanation of their entire menu when he notices our confused stares, and we order tri tip and chicken combo plates. Our food comes to us very quickly, just as we find a table to sit at. The food is good. The mashed potatoes and gravy are grand. The chicken wasn't dry at all, but the meat was the winner.
Service there is stunning and friendly.
A great surprise.

The best thing about this place, however, are their macaroons. Really, they're delectable. It's hard to find macaroons this good, especially in Sacramento. The only other place that I've had cookies to this quality is in San Francisco (see my other reviews).
Caramel macaroon, get one.
And on days when the dairy free option is a fruit that I am allergic to, they are more than happy to allow me to buy a bowl full of toppings (Mochi! in coconut, melon, and strawberry flavor!)
The staff is very nice, friendly, and tolerant. Their prices are unbelievable--It's much better to charge by weight than how many toppings. I wish places in Seattle would do this.
No Lists

April hasn't made any lists yet.

But why is it that I can never find anything I want? My music taste isn't that obscure. And on the off-chance I do find something, the price of the cd makes me turn away.
Maybe this place would be good for those seeking vinyl, but if you want a cd, do yourself a favor and go to any one of the Dimple Record locations. Much better.
