This is my second trip to this location, and obviously I enjoyed the food the first time enough to go back a second time. I've been dieting with low-carb for quite some time now, and have a very picky palette. I know what I like and don't want any extras.

I ordered the California cheesesteak which includes the meat, cheese of your choice, bacon and avocado...but I asked for no avocado and no bread. It doesn't come with any lettuce...something I absolutely can't stand...well guess what ...

They served it on a bed of lettuce...the first time I was there they didn't. I explain to the girl who served me that I REALLY despise lettuce a great deal and don't want to eat anything which has come in contact with it. She takes it back to the cook who then proceded to simply scrape off the meat and put it on a tray.

I JUST told her how much I HATE lettuce and that I don't want to eat anything which has touched it, yet she is serving me the same thing. I was so upset at this point that I asked why on earth wouldn't she have it made again since I said I didn't want anything which had touched the lettuce. I tell her she should had just made it again.

I then out of frustration simply ask for my money back and leave on an empty stomach. I won't be back any time soon. Show owner comment »

I went the second day which it was open, and was disappointed with the service and food. I walked in alone around 7pm and was asked if I wanted to sit with a couple....HUH? They asked this couple at a 5 top table if they wouldn't mind if I sat with them.

Now the seating is very limited in space here, but sitting me with someone else at a sit-down restaurant just was strange. When that couple got up, they sat 3 guys at my table.

I ordered the NY Strip and it was VERY fatty, and they didn't even have steak knives. I had to cut it with a butter knife. The fries were steak fries, and upon the second visit for lunch with co-workers they at least had upgraded, or rather downgraded to soggy garlic fries. They now have steak knives, but the NY Strip is still fatty.

None of my coworkers were that impressed with the food. I wish there were better places to eat on Castro Street.

I went in for "Happy Hour" the other day with a friend who had never been here for some of the $3 ribs during happy hour. We got there around 5:45 and were informed that the kitchen wasn't open till 6, but we could order the ribs and other other items on the happy hour menu...sort of confusing the way it was explained.

It was DEAD in there. We were literally the ONLY patrons there. It was during Macworld and only a few blocks from Moscone...you would think it would at least have some out of state traffic by 6pm. This was on a Wednesday, and I was quite shocked to see the place EMPTY.

The ribs were as good as ever, but it was just strange to eat in an empty restaurant.

I was taken there last night for a quick bite after a night out with friends for my birthday. We had the baby back ribs and a few other items, although it was the ribs which stood above the rest of the items. Next time I go back we are going to get the full order instead of just the short order.

When I take BART over to Berkeley I tend to stop here for something to eat. Being on a low-carb diet I get the Chicken Carbonara without the bread with no mushrooms and extra bacon alfredo sauce.

I know this is a strange order, but it is what I've been ordering for years now. Every time I go into any other Quiznos (even ones I've never been to) they just know (I don't know if it is from training) to put all the ingredients together and put them through the oven.

At this location they put each ingredient in its own cup and gave it to me without heating up anything but the chicken. I have to tell them how to make it each and every time that I'm in there.

Visited the store yesterday, as they have just recently opened. The store is primarily for men, as there weren't many if any womens clothes.

One cool thing they offer is 2 different Levi's styled Castro shirts in blue and white. Expect to pay "typical Levi's prices" for everything in the store, but if you are looking for your 501's, no need to head to Union Square anymore.

Very friendly staff and the place had quite a number of people there Thursday and Friday night when we visited.

The manager, Sean, is quite cute and one of the best bartenders I've had in a while.

They had lube wresting on the 1st Friday of each month which is quite sexy and even have cash prizes. Coming from San Francisco, it is nice to find bars which accept a credit card and let you keep a tab open.

If I find myself in Boystown again, Hydrate is certainly one of the stops on a night out of drinking to make.

I love this place. They have the BEST wings I've ever had in the US, thus far. Their medium sauce is not hot at all, but has the perfect blend of zest and sweetness.

If you want the best thing on the menu, order the boneless wings, medium, over fries, with extra sauce. It is a meal you won't soon forget.  Used to make this place a weekly event with friends for their 44 cent wings on Wednesday nights.

Wide variety of beers and full bar available as well. It is MUCH more family styled of a place then Hooters or Wing House, but still has some sex appeal as well.

Tons of TV's for watching your favorite game. Personally I don't really like the karaoke nights, but was willing to sacrifice my ears for some great wings.

This place is the best place I tried to find good Asian styled food in Chicago (especially the Lakeview area). The beef and broccoli served extra spicy (my request) was just the thing I needed to get away from all of the American styled food I'd been eating all week. The bottle of Riesling they served was okay, but nothing to write home about. Thank God it was cheap (under $30) for the bottle of wine. Co-workers enjoyed their house martini's.

Ate here twice while I was in town, and had mixed reviews. Their burgers were juicy and delicious, but the chicken I ordered was very small and not filling. I was hungry after the meal was over and debated ordering a burger to snack on later.

My boss went back on Saturday late night and saw a cockroach walking on the wall, so I'm not sure how clean this place is, but it is also the only "decent" place to eat late at night after a night of drinking.

Yoshi's Cafe

Walking into a place called Yoshi's Cafe, you have certain expectations if you haven't checked up on it online. From the outside it didn't look all glitzy and expensive, but walking in off the street with a jacket and jeans on, I felt like the most under dressed person there.

The place was quite full on a Friday night, so I ate at the bar. They serve Allen Brother's Steaks, and since I was there on as a company expense decided to order the $85 steak which was served perfectly rare, just the way I like it. I had a glass of their Riesling as well.

They offered more affordable steak options, $23 and $35 I believe, but this was one of the best pieces of meat I've ever eaten.
