I decided to give this place a try after reading all the positive reviews and I must say it was a real let down. We ordered the lomo saltado, the arroz chaufa especial and the wontons. The lomo saltado was tough, the tomatoes were raw and there was not enough flavor. The dish is supposed to be cooked at a high temperature and come out smoking. It was not. The arroz chaufa or fried rice was barely warm and it had a lot of uneven pieces of chicken that tasted like boiled meat. The dish is also supposed to be cooked at a high temperature and it was not. It had no flavor and tasted like plain rice Which had just been tossed in a bowl or a cool pan. It definately was not "fried" rice. The wontons were decent, the sweet and sour sauce was pretty good. It's a shame the rest of the food was so bland. We had two soft drinks with lunch and the bill was about 50 dollars. Kind of expensive for such a mediocre meal. I really wanted to love this place since it is near my house and work but I am sorry to say I won't be back. I have a new found respect for Las Dunas on Saticoy and Winnetka.
