Perfect place to go on Castro St. if you want somewhere to eat, plug in and get work done. Outdoor seating is plentiful, good for groups, and shaded. Great location (right next to Caltrain station). We like coming here because we don't have to get a coffee or tea (we don't drink them that often), and get a nice meal without having to go to a coffeeshop to plug in and work or study afterwards.

The food is great; my partner and I have come here twice and we both love it. He loves the lamb & beef gyro plate (when they have it as a special). I've had the beef kofte and beef shish kebab plates. I really like the meat seasoning and the soft consistency of the rice, which has a mild salty taste to it. The small cucumber salad side dish has too much parsley for my tastes, but it's good when mixed together with the rice and meat.

Haven't tried the desserts, but they look really good!

I went there with a few friends for a quick lunch. I ordered a vegetable tofu soup and a Shanghai chicken lo mein with vegetable spring roll and fried rice.

I thought the veggie tofu soup would be cleansing and a good balance with my potentially greasy meal. Even though the vegetables were fresh, the soup tasted like chicken broth saturated with MSG, which ruined it.  How do I know it has MSG in it?  It gave me a headache and a dry mouth.

Now comes the Shanghai lo mein. It seems to be no different from the regular lo mein. It was a mistake to order it with fried rice since it made everything super greasy. After finishing the soup, I barely ate any of the main course before asking the waiter to have it boxed. The spring roll was inedible, basically a tube of grease and what seems to be cabbage (I threw it out).

I had the rest of the lo mein/fried rice at home the next day.  Little did I know, they put MSG in it too, giving me another headache.  Thanks a lot, Orient Express.

The service was decent. Not coming back, however.

I went there with some friends for brunch and had an amazing experience.  We sat outdoors on a gorgeous Saturday noon.  I had a strawberry blueberry smoothie that was delicious, and they gave me an extra half cup when we accidentally spilled a little bit of it.  For brunch, I ordered a chicken and spinach crepe that was absolutely heavenly -- I ate all of it, and I normally have leftovers whenever I go out to eat.

The service was excellent and friendly, and the atmosphere was nice. I'd definitely come back to try other things on their menu, such as the green eggs and ham.  Maybe a little bit overpriced as some others have mentioned, but it didn't even cross my mind when I was there.

I went there for the first time with two friends and decided to try Korean food for the first time.  My friends were Asian foodies and loved the place, and suggested that I try out the bi bim bab for my 'starter' Korean dish, which I did.

The bi bim bab was pretty good.  It's a salad-like dish with chicken, rice and hot sauce that you mix in separately according to your taste and spice tolerance. The half-raw fried egg threw me off, but since you were supposed to mix it up, it wasn't that bad.

Overall, the food was great and I'd definitely go back to try other dishes.  The -1 star is for the lack of friendly service. I feel like I owed the waitress money or something by the way she was treating us. Smiling a bit wouldn't hurt.

I went here with my boyfriend for our anniversary dinner. We went around 6pm on a Wednesday night, and it was relatively quiet but the atmosphere was very nice.

My boyfriend loved his Fazzoletti with Asparagus Pesto and Pecorino, and I had the crispy chicken secondi that was also very good. The portion sizes suited us very well.  We had the strawberry sorbet for dessert, which wasn't as good.

Service was great and timely. Would definitely come back for a semi-fancy dinner for special occasions.

I went there with my parents for dinner. Restaurant has very nice atmosphere with a modern look and features paintings from a local artist. I didn't think the paintings suited the look very well, but the dim-ish lighting was nice.

Appetizers: We ordered the shrimp, clam chowder, and baby spinach & strawberries salad. They were all excellent. The salad and clam chowder were especially delicious.

Entrees: We ordered scallops, pistachio chicken, and fruitti(?) d mar (various seafood). Portion sizes were huge! My chicken came with 2 large breasts and I loved the pesto sauce it came with. Parents liked their seafood dishes, too.

Service: A bit slow on service. Our entree orders were taken after we finished our appetizers, so there was a bit of a waiting time. Also, they cleared away both of my forks and forgot to bring me a new one so I had to ask for it.  Other than that, good, friendly, timely service.

I would definitely go back for a semi-fancy dinner. Menu items offer a lot of other things I'd like to try

I ate here with my boyfriend and his mom, and we had a great time with really really good pizza. It was a busy evening and there was a 50-minute wait, but it was well worth it.  We ordered the Cosmic Karma (pesto, spinach, tomatoes) and a Hawaiian.  They put parmesan cheese on the crust which makes it really good.  If you're all about the food, you'd like this place.

Went there on New Year's Eve with bf and friend. There was a short wait and we ordered breadsticks with a tropical (Hawaiian) pizza and the chicken pesto. Waitress forgot to write down the breadstick order and when we asked about it 35 minutes later, she apologized and gave them to us for free.  The pizza was really good especially with their sweet and spicy seasoning and parmesan cheese. I've been here on a date before and would definitely come back for really good pizza.

I came here for lunch with my boyfriend and his mom after choosing this place over the pizzeria next door. I liked the "seat yourself" policy, and the waiter was really nice and welcoming. The restaurant wasn't busy around 1pm.

I ordered a pink lemonade with the chicken and avocado po'boy with cheese fries on the side. My boyfriend got the turkey bacon po'boy with red beans and rice and his mom got the beef brisket with collard greens and mac & cheese.

We all tried the turkey bacon po'boy and loved it. Cheese fries were delicious. Bf's mom loved her brisket. Mac & cheese was good. I wasn't too fond of the collard greens because they had a kind of vinegary taste. Bf's red beans and rice was good too. I didn't get to try my chicken and avocado po'boy yet since I split it with my boyfriend and I was full after half of his turkey bacon po'boy.

They did indeed have about 15 kinds of bbq sauce and I tried and liked the sweet one.

Everything was delicious and the service was really good, and that's why I'm giving Ed's BBQ a 5* rating.  Would definitely recommend and come back if I visit Asheville again.

Went here with a friend who suggested it for its frozen yogurt.  I ended up having a twisted soft-serve because there weren't that many flavors for frozen yogurt.  Their kiddie size is pretty big, so it's a really good value.  I'd definitely go back and try some of their other flavors.
