I've been here twice. Had to wait over an hour both times. The technicians are great but the office is run very poorly. They desperately need a new office manager to teach them how to make appointments, return patient calls and not lose prescriptions. Simply an awful, frustrating experience. Show owner comment »

Their Feta Shrimp Salad is my favorite.  It's by far the best Greek salad I've ever had.  There are tons of vegetables, the perfect amount of shrimp - grilled just right, and the pita they serve with it..delicious.

The service is a little slow at lunch time because they get a rush hour thing going on.  1pm it clears up a little.  The staff is great though, very friendly and totally accommodating.

This place is pretty great and it doesn't hurt that it is walking distance from my apartment. Really good food with more variety than normal bar food.  Great beer specials.  There is a band that plays Thursday nights and they mostly do covers of songs that are fun to sing along or dance to.

And...they have NTN.  What more could you want?

Beyoglu

Yelp continues not to fail me.  I decided I wanted to try out Beyoglu for dinner (because of the yelp reviews and the fact it had been too long since I'd had Turkish food) and I was not disappointed.

We had no problem with the young manager (as some people in previous reviews did) but we did have reservations so that might be the key to getting seated promptly when there are several people standing around waiting.

Our waiter was very friendly and very helpful.  We asked about several different mezes having no idea what they were and he was more than helpful.  No one had any problem with us enjoying a 2+ hour dinner and we never once felt rushed in any part of our meal.

The food was very good.  I had the swordfish kebob which was cooked perfectly and separated by onions and peppers that just made it even tastier.  He got the lamb which he said was good (I didn't try so can't attest to it's deliciousness).  The meals are reasonably priced and you get ALOT of food.  Each meal comes with a hefty portion of meat/fish and then potatoes, rice and salad plus the bread that is served to the table.  (Way too much food to finish).

I would definitely go back here.

I went to the bakery before a long day of adventures and I have to say that although everything was rich, the food was seriously delicious.

My only complaint is that the space is so tiny it makes it hard to wait in line and therefore even harder to enjoy your food on a cold day.

As we were walking by we heard someone belting out 80's to a piano with a really good voice and decided to pop in here.  This place is amazing, seriously one of the best places in the UES.

The performers are really talented, every single person in the bar was singing along and there was a huge mix of people here.  The bartenders get up on the bar and sing back up to some of the songs.  Overall this place is just a really, really good time.

This place is so much fun on Friday nights (not recommended Thurs or Sun - see below).  Everyone is just there to have a good time (there is pool, that basketball hoop game, darts, etc).  The place was pretty crowded but it wasn't full of annoying sloppy people so it didn't really matter.  I would definitely go back here for a dart re-match and some more basketball.

EDIT:  I would not go back on a Thursday night, the bartender that works these nights is incredibly rude.  We went in and wanted to play darts and the bartender wouldn't give us darts until we bought a drink.  After informing him that we would buy a drink after we got started playing darts he said no again that we couldn't even start playing until we ordered.

I go to bars to drink and play games, the order that this happens in shouldn't matter especially on a night where there was barely anyone there.

Went back on a Sunday and  he said..."I remember you guys and no you can't have darts unless you want to buy drinks first"  before we even said anything.  Rude!

This place is really cute and the staff is very friendly.  I've only been here for wine (which was wonderful) but after reading other reviews I think I'll go back and try the watermelon sangria.

They do a wine tasting class on Saturday's for $50 you can learn about wine and they have appetizers, I haven't tried it out yet but it seems like fun.

I've been here twice now, last time was to meet someone visiting from out of town.

Pros: The music is really good, not a lot of people dance unless it's on top of tables or couches which is fine cause it leaves more room for me and my friends to dance, service was fast even though the place was relatively filled, doormen were courteous and there was no cover ..for us(apparently it is selective), okay prices because they aren't skimpy with the booze.

Cons: The coat check girl was an absolute bitch, the bartender was fast but seemed to have forgotten her smile that night or even any resemblance of nice-ness, there isn't much else around so leaving to another bar is a trip (especially when it's cold), $50 minimum on credit cards.

I was here with a huge group of people, I anticipate that we could have had a good time anywhere.  I wouldn't object to going here again with a big group but there are better places and I definitely wouldn't pay cover.

The ginger shrimp dish is amazing.  The dish usually comes as "hot and spicy ginger shrimp" but if you tell them you don't want it spicy they will change it for you.  There was a ton of ginger, onion and shrimp (enough for two large meals). The white rice was the perfect sticky-ness to absorb the sauce.  Yum!   I also tried the vegetable lo mien which was very good.

The portions are large and the service is fast.  They only do take out and are cash only but it is worth it.  My only complaint is they don't give you fortune cookies - -( i like the fortunes) but the food was so good I got over it.

I can't wait to try more dishes from here.
