Update - 12/22/2011 1 Check-in Here
again, problems with my wheelchair, and these guys helped me right away, moving swiftly but surely, and even teaching me how to do it myself, how and why changing the camber is good, how to customize it all! they are so helpful, so informative and kind! i also bought some gloves with the most padding cuz i wear down gloves like no tomorrow. its not just Chuck, but Max and the other really tall guy are super polite and totally helpful. these guys are the greatest!

Best dentist in town. I have been going to him all my life. Once as a kid I was tripped by a punk kid and cracked my front tooth. Dr. Grado did such a great job making the 2nd half that no one to this day, only my family who knew about the incident, could tell that the lower half is not my natural tooth. i have taken millions of pictures and no one can tell, and even in closeups people can't tell. He had to change it a few years ago cuz my teeth naturally changed color and the fake half's color stayed the same. He changed it and now it looks great again. It has been 20 years and he had to change it only once. That's badass.

He is from Orange County and has that sunny, pleasant attitude that everyone wants in a doctor. His wife Debbie up front is a delight as well.

good thai food in seaside, but a lil $$ instead of $. idk much about thai food, so i asked the waitress for her recommendation - i got some curry shrimp pineapple something dish with brown rice and it was good, a bit heavy. the mango sticky rice dessert was delicious! the portions are great, enough for 3 people to share with each other. the price was a bit of drawback though. dinner for 3 people $72 (before tip) for 3 entrees, 2 thai iced teas, and 1 dessert plate.  id like to come back for some lunch specials.

accessibility: you can get around fine, as the waitresses will move the tables and chairs around for you. the bathroom is a bit cramped, but with some maneuvering you'll fit fine!

best crepes ever!

*HOMEMADE CARAMEL  it totally tastes better!
*Homemade whip cream! ditto. and he squirts it out of that funnel chef thingy.

I devoured the $8.50 CARAMEL and BANANAS crepe! mi amiga had strawberry nutella crepe $6.50. don't get that. go for caramel anything, or the brie one looked interesting.

polite guy. the dude at the cafe on the other side of the room made an awesome $3.75 mexicano hot chocolate, the best ive ever had. it was thick at the top, and freakin delicious.

service is great. both the cafe guy and the crepe guy were super cool.

wheelchair accessible: yes. tiny cafe but i could roll around fine. tables too tiny for anyone to scoot under, so no minus points.
- cash only

**VERDICT: one of the must eat places on the wharf, and the best crepe place in monterey county!***

I needed a repair quote for my dead-in-the-water HP Laptop computer (dont buy HP dv6000 or dv90000, or any HP for that matter) so I could get my credit card company to cover the repairs (or give me a replacement). As soon as I rolled into the shop, Tony came out and checked out my computer immediately. As he was attempting to troubleshoot the laptop, he confirmed my suspicions about avoiding HP laptops. He also told me that it would be cheaper to buy a new laptop. I told him I needed a quote anyway, and he quickly obliged. He printed out an invoice for me to use for the quote.

*$140 an hour for laptop repairs; approx 2 hours to install a new motherboard.
*$400 for motherboard.

He told me most of their customers are local businesses, and they do all sorts of repairs and installations; he just installed Windows 7 for 3 different business clients (and he said Win7 is pretty nice).

Very helpful, lightning quick service. Tony is a  very practical, quick-thinking kind of guy; just what you want with a repair man, especially with computers.

Doctors take note - Dr. Lehr is your role model!

Dr. Lehr mails you a letter following your appointment! This letter discusses the results of your visit, any test results, and his recommended treatment and time period. And he signs it. Class.

I have never waited longer than 10 minutes here.

Dr. Lehr fully explains your allergy situation in detail. He uses visual aids and books to make it easy to understand. He is patient and listens to all of your questions. He gives you plenty of samples, of both generic and regular drugs.

He is a big, hairy eared, kind man from the Bronx back with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He taught me the Dodgers name - they were dodging the trains - hence the name. He is a genial fellow.

The staff is very courteous. They call the day before to remind you of your appointment.

The bill they mail to your house is very clear on the charges; easy to read and understand. They use a billing system in Woodland Hills - i forget the name - but they are the best I have seen.

ACCESSIBILITY: marked spots in small parking lot. there is an elevator to the office on the 2nd floor.

You never feel rushed here, and you always go out with a smile - confident in your allergy treatment.

Decent seating options. Excellent service! Accessible parking in front of cinema.

ACCESSIBILITY: i love movie theater chains. everything is accessible - parking, bathrooms, doors, seating. Even better - this Del Monte location has great service: they open the door for me immediately upon seeing me (both outside and inside the theater). I ordered popcorn + soda, and the worker behind the counter came around to make sure i got everything i wanted; plus he carried it all to the theater!!! (one time he even hooked up the popcorn!) . can't beat that.

One issue I sometimes run across is reserved seating. With stadium seating (most new theaters have this), accessible seats in are the last row of the floor section, and the row right under the stadium seats. This is ok. I prefer the theaters that have an ***elevator to the top row with reserved accessible seats on the ends.***  the bigger century theaters have it, as does Maya Cinemas in Salinas.

Scissor Shack

$12 + $2 tip. Long cut (chopped it all off!). No shave.

SERVICE: Solid work. I had long hair (to my shoulders) and I wanted a good short cut. Choose *KIM* the owner. She was quick;  the back of my head was properly shaped unlike some other places that square it off (as vietnamese barbers tend to do, esp. in san jose). There's not much talk in English, but I didn't go there to socialize. (5 stars would have been a shave + cigar + barber shop feel - the chummy barber, sports talk, etc.)

ACCESSIBILITY: Parking lot on side does NOT have marked accessible spaces, but as there is very little traffic in this area (and I went during 5pm traffic hour) it matters not. The shop is small, but enough room to roll in. Regular round handle on door (not a lever). No steps anywhere. I transferred to the barber chair, but if you want to stay in ur wheelchair that works too; the hair stylists will move the chair out of the way.

UDPATE 10/19: David J. told me there is a customer bathroom. I had previously commented that there was none. Next time I go there I'll check out the bathroom's accessibility.
