These folks specialize in the German beauties, but they can make any car look like new after anything from a scratch to a serious wreck. Don't mess around with any other body shop when you can be assured that North Shore will repair your car to it's original look and safety specifications in a friendly and timely manner.

Sure, the owner lives across the street from me, but he makes it easy for all his customers to become regulars with friendly service and witty conversation.

On your first visit to the shop, Bill will give you your first cup for $1. That includes lattes and such. I'm a cup of regular and a donut kind of guy myself. Stop in on your way to the Metra station, but don't take the last double-chocolate donut or I'll hunt you down.

A bigger selection of fruits and veggies then you can shake a fist at. Everything is fresh, the prices are low, and if you grab a basket instead of a cart you can be in and out in 10 minutes.

This is the place to go if you're in the area if you just need foodstuffs. All fruit, veggies, cheeses, meats are great. And CHEAP! Still need to hit a Jewel or Costco for the toiletries.

My favorite restaurant, period. Nice and clean atmosphere. Amazing food and great service. Go now before they get on "Check, Please!" and you have to start making reservations. If there is anyplace I'd like to be a regular and have the staff know me, this is it!

Some highlights: Not your standard Thai food quickie. Presentation is important here. The food is brought out on immaculate white china. I don't think I've ever had a side of veggies prepared more perfectly. The food is also a bit more flavorful (and therefore delicious) than you may be used to. Choose your level of spice (0-4) for pretty much any dish. The owner, Pam, is quite friendly and willing to explain any dish on the menu. Try the Meang Kum appetizer. It's very unique and flavorful.
