Do not stay here, it is horrible. I was in Orlando for a convention and booked my room too late so had to stay here. I suppose I gave it one star because it was better than sleeping in the streets, but that is all. I have traveled around the world with a backpack staying in youth hostels and guest houses in Africa, India and Nepal and I would rather stay in the $15/night hostel I stayed in in New Delhi than this place. Simple and non-extravagant I can handle, but dirty, unhygienic and a staff that clearly does not want to be there is another thing. The kicker was that after my own bed bug check (which was clear thankfully), a guest checked out my first morning there with bites all up and down her legs, claiming she was attacked by bed bugs the night before. I didn't expect the Hilton, but when the maids don't even vacuum, clean the floors (it had to have been weeks), or change the bedding in between guests (cannot verify this but when I pulled down my bedspread there was someone else's baggage claim ticket on the bed!), it is time to find another bargain hotel.
Dr. Seru has been the doctor of our three children since our first was born 10 years ago. We think she is the best pediatrician in the area. We drive from Kirkland for all three kids to continue to go to Vinita. Recently my 18 month was in the hospital and she visited twice and directed care superbly. She was also instrumental in noticing developmental delays in one of my children before anyone else did. He was later diagnosed. I cannot stress enough wonderful Vinita is both as a doctor, and a person.
I have to say, I haven't been to a Gene Juarez in a long time. My husband treated me to a "spa" day and I decided to get a cut and color instead. Carson cut my hair (I have long hair), and she listened to what I wanted, held my hair up to show me things, and gave a great haircut. But most importantly, she gave me a hair lesson! I mentioned I wanted more lift on the crown and wanted a "bump" ponytail and she literally gave me step by step instructions, and demonstrated 2-3 times before I understood. Taught me how to blow dry it correctly, etc. I'll be going back and will save up my hair styling questions for her!
We had a storage unit at the storage facility across the road for our staging needs (we're realtors and have furniture and accessories stored that we use for our listings). We kept seeing the StorHouse truck and went over to ask them about it and tour the facility. We found out that if you get a storage locker at StorHouse, you get to use their truck for no extra charge to move your items there, which was a huge value proposition to us. We just finished switching over to StorHouse and have nothing but great things to say about the facility and the staff-very helpful and friendly.
Lee-Anne gave me the best Brazilian blowout I've ever had for $250. This is my third and I have long hair. Most are charging $350-$450 (I have long hair). Absolutely the best deal in town. It's the Brazilian Blowout brand, by the way, which is the best one on my hair. I've had one of those "non formaldahyde" keratin treatments and it didn't work nearly as well. Call her!
