Came here for a regular pit stop. Food, drinks and miscellaneous. Pretty good shop. Had a range of items and the customer service was good.  That's about it.

I came here for dine about town. The website listed it as californian when it was clearly asian fusion, tha began the beginning of my disappointment in this restaurant.

It was a prefix menu so that was decided for us.  We had the salmon spring roll with strawberry. I love raw fish but I've never had a worse pairing. It was a fresh strawberry and sashimi in a roll. The softness of the salmon didn't complement the sweetness of the strawberry which didn't go with dry veggies.

The dinner was not memorable. I had some fish dish. I say some fish because none of the characteristic tastes of the fish was accented. It was just fish. I would've enjoyed fish sticks from the supermarket more.

Only the dessert was decent. The chocolate mouse cake contraption was delicious.

I'm not a fan of asian fusion so I may be biased. But I wasn't into the flavors.

If you are a garlic connosuier, this your place. The aroma of sweet garlic hits your senses as you walk through the door.  The inner decor is reminiscient of italy.  Its a very cozy and comfortable place.

I ordered the lobster ravioli. The ravioli was amazing and awe inspiring.  It had a rich garlic flavor which didn't overwhelm the lobster or the ravioli.  It was a light flavoring which accented the well cooked pasta.

The customer service was very good because they checked up on you without seeming like they were hovering.

All in all, I would highly recommend this place if you love italian food and love garlic and just happen to be in little italy.

I went to Eagle Cafe over the weekend for some appetizers with a big group of 12.  All I can say is that we were amazed.  We know Pier 39 is a great place for seafood but we didn't know that Eagle Cafe was the best seafood place on Pier 39.   And it's the first one you see as you're coming out of the parking lot.

We were served an assortment of appetizers:

Crab Cakes - the crab cakes were amazing.  They were lightly breaded in round balls but cooked to perfection.  The crab was moist, sweet and spicy, dipped in tartar sauce, it was the best crab cakes I've ever had.  It was the perfect size as well for an appetizer because it was filling but not overly.

Fried Calamari - I absolutely love calamari but I'm very picky about it.  i hate it when the breadedness doesn't connect with the squid or when the squid is too chewy.  The calamari here was perfect.  Also lightly breaded and fried, the calamari tasted great with the marinara and tartar dipping sauces.

Chicken Tenders - I don't eat this type of meat but from the words of my party, this was the best ever.  They tasted better here than places that specialized in chicken.

Steamed Garlic Clams - I don't normally eat clams or oysters because a lot of places don't clean them properly.  The clams here were clean and made to perfection.  With cut pieces of garlic, these clams just flavored up your mouth.  I'm craving one right now...

Grilled Jumbo Shell of Prawns in a garlic spicy sauce - I'm saving the best for last.  Why say it's the best?  Because I normally don't eat prawns or shrimp (too chewy for me) but I absolutely loved these.  The shrimp were flavorful and not too chewy.  The sauce it came in was just spectacular.  We all began dipping our bread in that garlic sauce because it was so good.

They also have a full bar that the guys in our group were frequenting with a large range of cocktails.

When I go back to Pier 39, I'm headed straight for Eagle Cafe.

I came here for the football games on a Sunday. All we wanted was a table with view of a tv. We got that and a lot more which made our experience a lot worse.

So it's me and 4 guys who just wanted a beer and some sports. Soon as we went in we saw a line for the food. We walked to the back and we saw: a bunch of tvs without sound, a bunch of reserved tables and a crowd of older disgruntled patrons. Never have I complained about the patrons before.

The people: they were upset we were finding a table. One patron did the hand motion that he was watching us.

The sound: there was none. For a bar full of tvs, the only sound we heard was Christmas music. Not really a sports bar.

Everything else about this place sucked as well and we had a very disappointing experience. Nothing was redeemable here. And we jumped ship even before the commercial.

This was the second stop on our search for a place to watch football games. We came in to a packed bar. There were tables available but no seating. How is that even possible?

Its Sunday and the guys ordered some beers only to find out they were sold out of beer, even the bad beer. So they went for the worst type of beer.

Even after finding patrons who would buy their crappy beer, they forgot about them. One of them had to go remind them that hey we ordered hella long ago.

The place was dim and the atmosphere felt crowded even though there were tables just no chairs. I wouldn't go back again!

The place is pretty decent. We came here after our search for a decent place to watch football. The place had good options and had place to sit. The seats were also very comfy and they rotated towards the different tvs.

The guys got a bucket of beer which was a good option for them cuz the beer stayed cold. We also ordered two plates of fries which were good because they were thin and light but the ketchup they provided tasted funky. It felt like it was mixed with steak sauce.

The service was a little peculiar as well because our server kept telling us to put the menu on it's stand instead of just on the table. Service could be better.

But all in all, we found a good place to watch some football and have some snacks.

I came here to get a manicure, pedicure and acrylics done before a big event.  I read extremely good reviews about this place so I figured, hey let's give it a chance.  I was disappointed.

Though their services and attention was really great. And their work was decent.  I was disappointed because, well, it was pretty damn expensive.  It was 3x the price at one of those small Asian nail shops and the quality was the EXACT SAME.

My nails were actually a lot unhealthier after my visit here because the grow out of the acrylics seemed to stem past the root.

I was bemused by this place.  I heard such good things about this place that I was like I have to try it.  I went here as one of those nice dinners.  But I was really disappointed.

I enjoy Mediterranean food but I guess I had very high hopes.  The food was dry.  I requested a meal with light feta cheese but this had high accents of feta cheese which was stronger than the meal.  I felt like that was all I could taste.

The only thing I liked was the hummus sampler.  The pita was very good.  I learned the chicken version of my meal wasn't good either.  It just felt too stringy.

Overall, I wouldn't go back and if I was dragged back, it'd only be the appetizer for me.  You can't go wrong with hummus.

La Villa Mexican Restaurant

This is a small restaurant right off a main street. I probably wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't brought here. As soon as we went in, we were greeted by the hostesses. We were seated immediately on a Friday night because we were willing to sit in the back.

I was originally looking at The combo menu until I was directed to the a la carte menu. Super burrito for $5? Not bad at all. I figured it was gonna be a typically small burrito. The waitress was good and kept checking up on us.

When the burrito with enchilada house came, I was in awe. This burrito was humongous.  It was longer than my knife and as wide as the glass my water came in. $5 really? Maybe they stuffed my veggie burrito with lettuce... Nope.

The burrito was delicious. Flavorful, filling, and five bucks.  It was prepared quickly too. I'd pay more for this burrito but I'm glad I don't have to.

This is a perfect get your fill meal.
