Wow... Class has got NOTHING on Lift! I'm so excited that Lift took over the former. Their happy hour is the optimal unwind, especially with sliders that rival some of the best burgers in the WC. Order The Julian or The Chipper and you will not be disappointed. One slider for $3 or two for $5... can't beat that! And the sweet potato fries are like butter.
If you have been to 24-Hour prior to Forma Gym, then you will understand my elation when I walked through the old Thomasville Furniture entrance. I'm glad that I finally gave into my friend nagging me.
I was completely excited to see how clean the facilities were, and that they even offered water that didn't spew out of a nasty fountain. Their attention to detail shows, and I was even more excited at the thought of joining after I learned that they were expanding.
The $0 initiation fee is a plus, and so are the spotless machines and friendly staff. I'm looking forward to the Boot Camp class, and checking out if a personal trainer is an investment worth making.

Do you need an excuse to wander through the mecca store for arts and crafts? This would be it!
The best part? It never gets old! They are always switching up the displays to showcase current holidays coming up. I recently stopped by for some V-day supplies, and to get some material to make a baby blanket. The staff was really helpful, especially when I was asking for some recommendations for the fabric that I was purchasing. I can't wait to go back and wander again soon!

Dim Sum Happy Hour?! Yes, please!
I came here for the opening night, but I knew I had to come back if I wanted the full experience. I was here on a dead Friday night, but I still enjoyed the dim sum and drink specials prior to heading out for the rest of the night. The sesame balls are delish! The regular dim sum menu goes from $2.25-2.85, which is still a great price.
I would also recommend the Pear Martini.... MMMMmm :)

Quintana Events

Quintana Events planned my graduation party in December, and it was amazing! The personalized touches really made a difference, and it was great not dealing with all the nitty gritty details involved in planning events!
The coordination of the colors and theme made me realize how lucky I was to deal with a company that had such impecable taste.
I'm hoping that I will have some big events this next year so that I can come back and have them take the weight off my shoulders :)

I finally had a chance to check out the food... and I was not disappointed! Who doesn't enjoy a Pork Sandwich with daikon?!
It would have been great if they had happy hour specials, and it is a little pricey... but you are getting what you pay for here. I can't wait to try the poke next time!

I was only there for a drink, but I'm excited to do an update review when I'm also there for the food!!!
The service was great, and they had a great wine list. It wasn't a problem getting seated at the bar, but I can imagine it would be difficult to find an empty seat once more people know about this little gem. It is a welcome sight after the closing of Tokyo Lobby.

The Pizza Place

Wow... I never realized that the pizza buffs in Walnut Creek are such harsh critics! There are very few pizza places in the Creek that I actually enjoy, but the simplistic slice of mushroom and cheese from The Pizza Place was plenty delish.
I resolve to order something more elaborate next time, and test their quality topping skills. I mean, how underrated are pizza topping skills?!

In the month of August, they have these great Dinner for Two specials. You can't beat a King Crab/Filet Mignon meal for two for $99. You can always check out the monthly specials on their website. Who doesn't enjoy a little penny-saving tip these days? And this way you don't have to skimp on quality or taste!
Recently, I celebrated a big milestone here with my family. We had a lip-smacking meal that ended with some chocolate-dipped strawberries. I am especially addicted to the creamed spinach, and the sumptuous bread and cheese plate they tempt you with before the official start of the meal.
I still haven't had the lobster, but if it tastes as fresh from the sea as the other items I'm sure it will be a hit!

I took my parents here for a late night meal after they had been driving for 6 hours. I had been here a few times before, but usually I'm there for the wonderful bar service. It's great to stop by for a quick sip and an app.
I had the Washington Mussels, which were delightfully large, and a great price compared to some of the other items on the menu. The staff was very helpful and accommodating - especially when I asked to be moved to a less noisy table towards the back. I enjoyed the tacos last time I was here, and the clams are delectable. I'm excited to go back and try the clams, since they were out that night.

I rarely, if ever, think it's appropriate to give a place 1 star... especially, if it was clean inside.
BUT -- you can't call a Chicken Kabob Salad a Chicken Kabob Salad if the Kabob doesn't exist!! I got the order to-go, and waited an astonishing 30 minutes for a salad that I paid $12 and it didn't have any dressing and only came with four pieces of chicken dumped into a separate container as an afterthought.
I'm sure that previous reviews about coffee and dessert were right on target, and they did look good behind the glass casings. Maybe I should stick with ordering that if I ever come back here.
Although, I'm sure it might take them at least 15 minutes to figure out how to put the dessert on a plate, or pour the coffee into a cup. Considering there were three people in the kitchen and five out front, speedier service should not have been difficult. I know this because I worked in the industry... no genius skills required people.
