On a whim I decided to get my hair cut after work. I had never been to a salon in the Pearl before and didn't have much to go on. I looked at online ratings and then tried a few places. I was hesitant to try Bouffant because, while it has good reviews, I got the impression that it was quite spendy. I decided to give it a chance after the first couple places I tried were booked and I'm glad I did.

I have difficult hair and have frequently been disappointed after haircuts, but Leo really listened to what I wanted and explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it. He also had styling suggestions so that I could achieve the look he was giving me on my own.

He clearly knows what he's doing and really cares about giving you the results you want.

The price was a little higher than what I normally pay, but I think it was worth it and will certainly go back!

This bar certainly serves its purpose, but it really doesn't appeal to me. The food is pretty good, and they have decent beers on tap, and the location is quite convenient for students, but in order to take advantage of the benefits, you must be surrounded by huge television sets and loud drunk kids. The acoustics in this place are among the worst I've experienced. There's a lot of seating, but they often keep the upstairs closed on slower nights, so you may have to wait for a table even if they aren't that busy. The service is unimpressive at best. If you're looking for a place to get a beer near campus, I recommend walking a few blocks to Max's or the Bier Stein.

Everything I've had here has been delicious, the service is good, and I've never had to wait for a table.

I'm a huge fan of their vegetarian combo appetizer platter, which consists of salad rolls, spring rolls, and fried tofu. The portions are large and everything is flavorful and has a nice texture. I really appreciate that they use organic tofu and offer brown rice, as well.

Love this place! Good, inexpensive food, and excellent service! Possibly the best falafel I've ever had. I thought I didn't like falafel for a long time, because it's often too dry or too greasy, but Alexander's is the baby bear's porridge of falafel. Conveniently located for students right in front of the Duck Store on Kincaid and 13th. While they are a stand and don't have their own seating, there are lots of benches on that block, including one right next to the stand. My only complaint is that they close early and aren't there on weekends.
