Our Lady of Mt Carmel R C Church

Beautiful and minimalistic parrish. The sermon I witnessed was moving. I attended a mass in honor of a direct descendant of the Irish immigrants that in the 1890's fought so hard to establish a Catholic presence in Tenafly.

The parrish has its own parking area and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School is adjacent.

Great workout. I am a fan! I wish I had a Bar Method location near home -- I would then become a regular customer.

The Shores Restaurant

Service and cleanliness are three and a half stars. Location and parking four. Food is what gives this restaurant, in my opinion, a two-star review.

I came to know about The Shores from a friend of a friend that celebrated a birthday in this restaurant. The menu looks fantastic on paper, and possibly if you do not care where your food comes from --in particular the fish options-- you will be fine. The fish options are farmed and I do not care for farmed fish. I rather go without.

The House Organic Greens salad was good, and the Puree of Rutabaga soup was tasty.

Sweet Bee Magic

The Sweet Bee Magic Moisturize Cream is delicious and nourishing. Originally bought as a topical for scrapes and cuts, now used as a daily (and nightly) moisturizer. All ingredients are organic (olive oil, beeswax, honey, bee polen, propolis and royal jelly). MMM. Sounds (and smells) good enough to eat. Yum.

I park at this location if I feel a little lazy and prefer to drive to Hillcrest. It's in the middle of everything, the attendant is incredibly nice and I get validation if I shop nearby.

Same A+ review as Jimbos at 4S Ranch: variety of organic fruits and vegetables, reasonable prices, and excellent juice bar. Ah and not to forget about the bakery; the scones and muffins are delicious.

Aaron Brothers Art and Framing

The two-star review is based on my most recent experience at this location. In comparison to the Camino de La Reina location, where I order most of my framing,  this store lacks customer service professionalism. Why? Unnecessary (undisclosed) charges, and length of time it took to frame two paintings. I will not be going back to this store.

Pacific Southwest Railway Museum

As a child, I loved trains. My father bought a kit and we spent fantastic times putting it together. Needless to say, as an adult , I hold trains dear to my heart.

The Pacific Southwest Rail Museum area is comprised of a train depot  with a  few restored train jewels, and many a wrecked trains just outside of the building. It also has a charming little shop where you purchase (or pickup) your museum tickets.

I bought tickets for the cabin and rode next to the conductor and the engineer -- had a great time because I also got a fun History lesson. The train does not go all the way to Tecate because part of the rail has collapsed (and I was told repairs are now in the hands of the Baja California governor). I hope the tracks get repaired soon.

I highly recommend visiting the Museum, and while you are there enjoy a train ride.

Inquired via eMail about the program because I was captivated by an Oprah interview aired on XM radio. I received thorough and timely response to my questions and quite a bit more information about TM.

100 Percent Pure

As a young thirty-something I pay attention to every product I use on my skin. I don't use much make-up because the ingredients are never too kind too animals or to people skin --not the case of 100% Pure. The products are gorgeous, nourishing and subtle, unlike those cheap products that reek of fake/synthetic vanilla.

I use the cheek tints, powdered shadow, mascara, and hand lotion.
