I've been missing out... this place is right by me, and they deliver! But somehow I never tried it until today. Yummy!

The shrimp rolls are actually six portions of a jumbo shrimp wrapped in a basil leave and lightly fried. They serve it with a sweet and sour sauce and they are perfect.  I had the roasted duck curry. I almost always try the duck curry at Thai restaurants and I use it as benchmark, kind of like Pad Thai. And this one was pretty good, but the duck pieces were pretty big and there didn't seem to be too much in my serving. The pineapple and curry sauce were really good too. I also has the basil chicken and REALLy loved it! This will my go to dish the next time I want something spicy. The chicken is ground and I think it holds the flavors better.

The menu has some really interesting things on there like catfish ginger, tilapia pad cha and a red snapper dish and at least ten other things look good too so I will be checking them out again soon.

I'm not even a big fan of kebas and I loved this place. All the meat was fresh and cooked perfectly. I[m not sure how it's cooked, but it all seemed really healthy. Amazing feta and really good hummus too. And wait staff helped us pick out a nice variety of food and some great wine. One of the people in our group was very hesitant of coming here because she is unfamiliar with Persian food, but she left raving about it and telling everyone she knows about what a great place this is.

Restaurant Bulgaria

Driven past this a whole bunch of times but have never tried Bulgarian food before so this was a first. The waitress was really helpful and she immediately recommended a nice bottle of Bulgarian white wine (only $20). Even though we got here around 6pm on a Sunday, we were the only ones in the restaurant. By the time we left there were three other tables filled.

There's lots of feta here so I was happy with that. For an appetizer we tried the Trakia Gyoveche which is baked feta with egg, ham, dry sausage and hot pepper. I think that is normally a meal but I think it would be way too rich. Our waitress recommended a salad so we also had the Shepherd salad - eggs, ham, mushrooms, onions, roasted peppers, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, kashkaval (cheese) and feta. Kashkaval is "their" mozzarella. The salad was great because it was fresh and tasty.

Three of us went to dinner and we each ordered something different: Vreteno (pork, mushrooms, kashkaval, pickles, ham); the Combination Plate (kebapche, kyufte, pork chop, pork skewer, potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes); and steamed beef shank with mushroom sauce, pickles, garlic, fresh onion, dill and potatoes. We all shared and I'm glad we did because we got to try so many different things.

The combo plate is definitely for the meat eater! But everything was fresh and perfectly grilled. The other two both had a rich mushroom sauce which I really enjoyed but might be a bit heavy for some. The beef shank reminded me of a pot roast (except it also had pickles and dill) and the vreteno was a thin piece of pork rolled up and stuffed with goodies and then covered with sauce.

All in all, we really enjoyed the food. We will be back.

Awesome food! And it's BYOB so if you want to drink make sure you bring something. We came here before a concert at the Aragon - it's only about a 5-10 minute walk. There were four of us and we brought beer and wine. We ordered four appetizers because the first three of us were grazing while we waited for our fourth to show up. Potstickers, crab rangoon (ended up with of those) and mini-eggrolls were all good. I like that they ask if you want the potstickers fried or steamed.

The staff spent alot of time helping us pick out good choices. My friend was enchanted with the fried meatballs but the told us they were kind of boring and suggested we try something else. It was funny and I really enjoyed her honesty. However I think my friend is still curious about those meatballs and will go back to try them.

Anyways, one person ordered chicken curry, another chicken panang, another tofu pad thai and I got the basil duck (which was highly recommended). I was expecting more of a curry or sauce with the duck so I was a bit disappointed when it was placed in front of me, just duck slices on top of a mound of rice, but one taste and I was hooked! I wanted something spicy so they tailored the spiciness of the dish to make it hotter for me. My buddy with the panang was sweating so next time he should request it to be mild. I tasted that Pad Thai and it was a great balance between sweet and sour - really good.

With our four appetizers and four dinners the total, with a nice tip was $62, so just over $15 a person. Can't beat those prices for such tasty food!

Super cute! I love the decor and it makes me happy just to walk into this place. My friend and I came here before a concert. We didn't have reservations so they were unable to seat us, but we sat at the bar and the bartender was really friendly (and cute). He helped describe describe and recommend food for us to order - we settled on of few of the curry samplers and then split a "naanwich". And he even helped me pick a fun drink (I'm a beer and wine girl and usually don't do mixed drinks because they are too sweet) that I really enjoyed. All the food was good and the vibe was full of energy so I definitely plan to go back.

Pretty good for a simple pizza place. A really good place for groups and family's. There were a couple of groups there while we were eating and everyone seemed to be having a good time and was well served.

We didn't order any of their special pizza's, just my standard: pepperoni, black olive and mushroom. We also got garlic added. Pizza was very good with a tasty tomato sauce and a great balance between greasy and crunchy. The Pasta e Fagioli soup is good too.

I'm absolutely thrilled by the thought of gourmet fast food! And some of the best chefs have offerings up on the 7th floor of Macy's. My three favorites are Frontera Fresco (Rick Bayless), Takashi's Noodles (Takashi Yagihashi) and Marc Burger (Marcus Samuelson). The salads and bakery options are usually good too, but who can focus on that when these three chefs have such great offerings?

I'm a big fan of the turkey burger from Marc Burger. I actually crave that one. The BBQ Burger and Prime Burger are of course fabulous as well, but the turkey burger, which its jack cheese and chipotle mayo, really brings me back for more.

I tend to order from Takashi's Noodles more often in winter, or when I want something light. Not that it is necessarily a light meal - the bowl full of noodles you get is HUGE! I have never once finished it. But it is usually an amazing bowl of Japanese  noodley soup.

Frontera Grill offers an awesome variety of Mexican: tortas, huaraches, tamales and quesadillas... and of course salsa and chips!

I work a few blocks from here and it's a treat to have such great lunch options in The Loop!

Really great food here! We had an appetizer that was mushrooms stuffed with chorizo and covered in melted cheese. To die for! I ordered the Carne a la Mexicana, standard off the menu, and it was nice and spicy. There were alot of other beef options (rib eye, skirt steak) but this one really hit the spot. No wine list to order a bottle from (just 4 types of house), and I heard the margaritas were "different' here, so we went with the sangria which was really yummy - not too sweet at all. Will definitely be back.

Sabatino's Restaurant & Lounge

Even though I've been coming here for over 15 years, Sabatino's surprised me last night! I usually have the veal, because all of their veal dishes are so good, but I had a taste for their gnocchi and the waitress suggested something for me. They didn't bring me the regular gnocchi, but the Gnocchi di Spinaci which is a green spinach gnocchi in an alfredo sauce with bits of prosciutto and asparagus. It was SO good that I had it for dinner, a midnight snack, AND breakfast this morning.

Sabatino's has really good Italian food that is reasonably priced. This is a traditional Italian neighborhood restaurant. Don't expect anything fancy - if you want that go down town. But for consistently good food and nice service, you can't beat Sabatino's.

It's not on the menu, but you can an al pastor (pork) and chorizo combo - if you order two. Perfect for breakfast and it's only about $3. The al pastor is cut right off from the spit, like a gyros. It is super moist and flavorful. My vet (Animal House of Chicago) is right next door and I treat myself to tacos for breakfast almost every time I'm over there.

Note: I have only ever ordered the tacos and never tried anything else on the menu. Steak is okay, it's the port tacos that really stand out here.
