Excellent to have this new Burger place in Folsom. What a terrific, quality menu they've put together.  I've been a few times now  - enough to have tried both the real burgers and the Nutty burger, vegetarian version.  Wow. All tasty. I understand they may be adding a chicken menu item soon?

I highly recommend the sweet potato fries but it's a tough choice - the garlic fries are equally as good.

Great service and comfortable outdoor seating. If you live or work in the area I'd definitely add this place to your lunch and dinner list.

IHOP

I've been on hiatus from Yelp for over a year.  But, I must share a review of this IHOP in Folsom.

I am not a fan of chain restaurants. You won't catch me on the corner shaking a "I Love IHOP sign," and I'm lucky enough to have eaten a lot of places. That being said, not all IHOPs are equal. This particular IHOP stands out above many restaurants in our region.

What's so good about it?  Well, I'll tell you:

1. Family.  The manager and staff treats you like you're part of it.  without exception, and i go to this I HOP at least once per week when I'm in town.

2. Family.  My kids love coming here. It's easy, inexpensive and they're treated like Gold.

3. Price. Good portion and quality for the price.

4. Service.  I may be repeating myself here a bit.  Go.  Message me on Yelp if you have a bad experience.  Better yet, say so here if you have a good one!  In fact i wrote a blog post about it at http://ow.ly/4LAc3.

General Manager, Robert, runs a character ship and makes it a practice to always try and exceed customer expectations.

I'm grateful that we have a reliable, easy place in town for a family meal or for grabbing a bite while I need to take my laptop out and get some work done.

Listed in: Folsom and El Dorado Hills…

Starting my Friday a bit groggier than usual after having a blast with so many new Yelp friends at http://www.yelp.com/bi... last night.

I'm convinced: People love to dress up, especially Yelpers.  (disclosure: ok, so I lamed out and didn't do the costume thing.  I could have at least done that bar code faux shoulder tattoo.)  As usual, a great time was made even better by the people.  What an awesome crowd.

I won't repeat everything Jason P. and Katie B. already raved about.  Yelp and the Urban Hive pulled off some killer ambiance though, didn't they?  Much of the vibe emanated from DJ Paul Gordon.    The mixture of live percussion with a DJ jam was too much to ask for at a robot party.  Exceptional.

Too many new friends to mention  - cool to meet everyone.  Grateful goodness to Kristen and Sapporo http://www.sapporobeer... for the generous open bar.  Kristen also hung out and helped me tend bar all night!?  Gratze.

Wild Bill's Cheesesteaks & Grill

I lived in Philadelphia for five years. I generally avoid cheese steak places that suggest that they serve a "Philadelphia" style cheese steak sandwich. Usually the "sandwich" is nothing like anything served at even the worst steak and sandwich joint in Trenton, NJ, let alone a cheesesteak from Pat's http://www.yelp.com/bi..., Geno's http://www.yelp.com/bi... or Jim's http://www.yelp.com/bi....

Wild Bill has a smattering of Philadelphia memorabilia and photos paying homage to Philadelphia's big three of cheese steak lore.  He seems to take some pride in fostering a gruff, supposed south Philadelphia like attitude. A few big, flat panel screens kind of make up for it. (Hey - lots of places in Philadelphia have awesome customer service! AND, we're not in Philadelphia)

The sandwiches are better than most any I've tried.  They could use a bit more cheese and the amount of meat seemed a bit stingy for the price ($23 for two orders: 7" cheesesteak, fries and sodas).  You can get provolone or cheese wiz - which makes them as authentic as their special Philadelphia style rolls - a BIG miss by most spots that say they're authentic.  Nice job on the imported rolls!

Some advice?  If this place lowered the PMPS (THAT's profit margin per sandwich - just made that up) and uped the beef weight  - I bet they'd be Sacramento's answer to a meal on Passyunk Ave with destination restaurant volume.

BTW - Tastycake pastries on the counter - a made in Philadelphia hostess cupcake alternative and a cool touch.

What really makes appliance service worth writing about? Typically, not much.  In this case, however, i found the following of merit:
- honest assessment
- responsiveness
- economic options

Mario and George, with dozens of years of experience between them, gave me confidence that they know what the heck they are talking about and I'm not getting taken.  I want that whether you're fixing my appliance or I'm buying one from you.

Elite?  Me?  Well, golly, garsh and shucks [blush].  With gratitude I thank thee, Yelp, for acknowledging me based on whatever mysterious criteria you've used to bestow me this honor.  Cheers!

Yelp is a valuable community tool.  And, I recommend Yelp to clients and friends.

Let me also express my appreciation for Yelp's investment in Sacramento.  Our energy and positive growth as a community can only be furthered by great companies like Yelp having a strong presence.

All this being said, in the spirit of Rudy Rudiger's teammates, I'd gladly give my Elite badge to Sarah K.

I took my son and daughter here on New Years Day.  My daughter (age 5) said, "I wish this was my house, this is really super-fun!"

We had a terrific, sweaty time.  Sky high has good areas for the 8 and under crowd to have just as much fun as the big kids.

Boo - grownups sitting and watching the fun scarfing down a pizza (there is a full service snack bar and lots of vending machines).  Yea! grown-ups jumping into the spongy blocks with their kids.

Little kids dodge-ball was a blast.  Staff guy Jordan was an awesome sport as the primary target.

if you get a little bored jumping on trampolines there's plenty of video games, air hockey and pool.

Bring your camera!

cool, kitschy little spot for an inexpensive bite to eat or a cup o' joe.  I enjoyed lunch here with a friend.  I tried their persona meat lovers pizza - excellent.  Homemade pizza with plenty of toppings and that great doughey-lots-a-cheese extra bit of personal attention to my pie.  Loved it.

My little table was pretty loose (the two-top in back).  I felt a bit like I was eating aboard a ship on the open sea with the table flopping up and down.

Comfy, cozy spot with good cheap eats.  A bastion of vintage sanity.  I will return - maybe with some tools for that table.

I'm a book fiend and love to read.  i also like to get books as gifts.  I have to admit though, Borders is more of a browsing place for me.  It's a great place to get work done or meet with friends (I'm a Seattle's Best coffee fan).  Free wifi.  I, ummm, just rarely buy books here.  They're more expensive than buying them online.  I'll grab a pile and do some research, browse the shelves to see what publishers are funding or sift through a few magazines.  Is that uncool?

I still love Border's though but i guess i treat it as more of an awesome coffee shop with a gigantic bookshelf and magazine rack.

I added the second star for the decor and comfy booths.  It's warm and inviting.  Ummm...yup, I think that's it...unless you also want to know that the service was...wait...we had a server I think.  And, er, the food...good guacamole.  Wait...that's it!

Here's my advice - if you go to a movie in Roseville than get the chips and guac and split on out-a-there to your flick (cuz there are a dozen other places you'd rather go for dinner or a lunch meeting). I did have a salad...the kind in the crunchy basket.  At least I remember some lettuce buried under the peppers and olives.  Cool i guess if you like that sort of thing.
