I love to come to Flannerys on St. Paddy's day on Cavs game nights. There tends to be men there!

P.F. Chang's is an upscale national chain with a giant horse statue in front. I think the horse is pretty uniform of all P.F. Chang's locations. The interior is classy and contemporary, with large booths and a bustling bar. The lead singer of the local cover band "spazmatics" used to work there and I would giggle thinking about how silly he looks in their nerd stage outfits. Anyways, if you go, try the lettuce wraps and flourless chocolate cake. I have never had a bad meal there and never heard of anyone having a bad meal. Why the 4/5 stars? It isn't locally owned. Sorry P.F. Changs! Local always trumps national!

Their menu has some constants but they do make updates often, focusing on a different regional cuisine of China. They were a true pioneer with their gluten free menu, which as all celiac's know is a godsend since most Chinese is off limits with all the wheat in soy sauce. (That last statement was meant to be educational for all the WLs (wheat lovers). Shocking, yes, but soy sauce's 1st ingredient after water is wheat (unless you get super yummy gluten free sauce that is actually a ton tastier).

This was my first experience with the Hookah. I had a blast here with some friends! We started with dinner and ended with some hookah!

If you haven't been to Kan Zaman, I think you should go. It is an experience and fun. The food isn't to die for, but it isn't bad and there is a unique vibe.

They have belly dancers there a lot.

Luchita's is closed on Sundays! I have only been here once (shocking, I know as I am a major West Side stalker). I enjoyed a great margarita (or 2 or 3) with a good friend over chips. I think we ordered dinner too, but mostly I remember having a great time and the margaritas.

It wasn't totally easy to find parking.

Somehow I got on the list to get in free here the opening night. I am not sure if it normally requires a cover, but it did that night. I would be completely annoyed to hear that it still requires a cover. At this point, with the population and economy the way it is in Cleveland, bars should just be happy anyone wants to come at all. Anyways, I suppose if you want to see a bunch of hambones and hooknasties in too tight of clothing that people were wearing on the coasts 2-3 years ago, this is the place for you. If you don't want to have a seizure from flashing lights or pick up the H1N1 or other viruses* from gooey railings, then it isn't worth your time.

I went here for a friend's child's first birthday. They rented out the hall and invited all their friends. We were given free reign over the lanes for a few hours today. This was the most fun that I have ever had bowling, probably because there are no scoreboards. This is an old school bowling alley and it looks straight out of the early 1980s. The lanes are in the back, and you must first walk through one of the oddest bars I have ever seen...totally working man's bar. There is even a home gym sitting in a corner of the bar. Odd.

I like this Winking Lizard mostly because of Location! Location! Location! In the fall, their is nothing better than a hike/walk/ride through Peninsula.

Ambiance galore is the best way to describe the Barking Spider. The Spider is at its best on a warm summer evening when a local singer/sonwriter is playing. You can grab a pitcher of beer and sit down with a couple of friends at one of the tables. Remember to toss a dollar or two in the bucket at the end of the set.

I wish this super cute bar wasn't in Independence, because when I am in the mood for a wine bar, I am not any where near Independence. That being said, all you Southwest suburb dwellers or frequenters had better take advantage. The Budapest Blonde has a lot of ambiance, and as Keith Charles would put it, talent, even if it tends to be a cougar den. If I were a single male, this is where I would go.

I loved the white tiled walls with little clusters of improvised artwork (i.e. toile patterned plates).
