Surprisingly good find. It's attached to a motel and has a remodeled diner interior. Seafood and risoto were both tasty and well presented. Would be a three star in a larger town with more options, but it's a solid four star in Tillamook.

Intimate ambiance with good farm to table fare. Good presentation and wine pairings. Outdoor area is nice, though as others have pointed out, there's basically no lighting back to the parking lot after dark.

This is just a review of the frozen custard. It's not good. I think it receives good marks from the some of the Austin crowd just because there's a lack of familiarity with good custard (v. ice cream or gelato) and it's been around a while. The custard is too light and watery. A little grainy even. Toppings are a complete afterthought as is the presentation.

Busy because of lack of restaurants in the area. Below average tex-mex for the Austin area. On the plus side, it's nice and clean and has a small playground off the patio for the kids. All the surfaces in the dining room are hard, so it gets loud and if you sit in certain spots, you can hear a conversation from the other side of the restaurant without straining.

Pleasant surprise in gruene. Artichoke spinach dip and pistachio crusted pork medallions were presented well and had great flavor. Better prices than Austin or San Antonio for comparable fare.
