Friendly waitstaff. Delicious burger (really!), nicely made chicken salad sandwich with all white meat and a nice bowl of beef noodle soup. made me wish i had room for dessert.
Beware, the ATM is a block away from this location and at the time of the review, surrounded by tar. Bring disposable shoes.
It's a girls eatery, you can tell by the offerings, i.e. quiche. But, they did try to pander to the males that end up crossing the threshold in tow. They were offering a quiche with Hatch Green Chiles. I had the half meatloaf sandwich with cup of split pea soup. I was a little trepiditious about the soup, I prefer my pea soup to be more like pea pudding where you can stand the spoon on end without fear of it falling. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste, whereas it was not as thick as I prefer, it was something I would eat again. I half to admit, I was not man enough to finish the half meatloaf sandwich, though it was terrific.
The woman that towed me in had the spinach quiche with a salad. I tasted the quiche, and, perhaps secretly, I could enjoy eating it.
Also, best cafe mocha I've had in long, long time. perfect for a cooler morning.

Remember: the Copper Queen Hotel is historic (I think that's French for old). We spent the night there, unfortunately the kitchen was broken, so no food report, but that's ok we prefer getting the local tastes. Asides from the peculiar and occasionally strong smells indicative of some pending plumbing disaster (if you like to play Russian Roulette this is probably the optimum time for your stay, watch the hilarity ensue when the pipe breaks) which was incredibly strong in the elevator, not sure why that would be, the Queens is well maintained. I got a room on the 4th floor with a king sized bed. There was enough room to get around the sides of the bed so it was fine. I noticed a transom painted shut over the door. I've only seen them in the movies never in the flesh. The Queen definitely has an ambiance, is probably the highest priced hotel in Bisbee, but also the most well known and definitely playing on its historic reputation. The whole town is about history and mines, with hippies running art and 'antique' stores, so bear that in mind before embarking on your journey and have suitable expectations in mind. There's not much to that area except wooden sidewalks in Tombstone and the mine tour in Bisbee. I had a great time, it was worth doing once and am considering twice. I had a few stories while I was there about couples that come down annually, you might fall in love with its charm and start a habit. The hotel is haunted and my run in with a poltergeist involves my stick deorderant being fully extended. Miscreant ghosts!

I had the opportunity to spend the night at a special rate.
Had a nice stay. The desert is beautiful. There are activities, horse back riding, catch/release fishing, and hiking.
The breakfast was nice, not spectacular.
The pool was nicely heated and we had a nice swim the first week of December.

It closed?! How sad! It was a fabulous place to get beignets and hurricanes. No more little bit of Mardi Gras in Tucson. Sniff...

Sayat Nova East Armenian Restaurant

After years of walking past Sayat Nova, I realized I needed to give it a try. I am fortunate in that my business associates enjoy trying different foods. We ordered 3 things and split them so we could try several items off the menu. Aren't you jealous?
We had the cheese boureg and sarma for appetizers, both were delicious. The sarma had a nice tart sauce. The boureg was artistically scorched and yes there was butter involved in its making.
Not only did we choose 3 meals from the menu, but one of them was combo kebabs so we could try chicken, beef, and lamb. So this was the equivalent of sampling 5 meals. Clever, huh? The other 2 choices was kufta (lamb meatballs) and lamb cous-cous. Can you tell my co-workers aren't afraid of lamb? All were good, if you can pick several I can recommend these, if you're only picking 1 I would go with the kebab, but I like grilled meat. Considering that Lamb was tender but the combo gives you more tastes makes a hard decision.
And yes, you should try dessert. Malabeya was good as was the knafi, but the knafi was fairly similar to flan/custard.
Wait staff wasn't perfect. We thought he forgot the beers, they showed up after the appetizers and it took a while to get the bill, but not the realllllly bad experience others have related.$30 per person including tip. Definitely on our list for return trip.

The Tucson Greek Festival is a great way to get some great Greek food. Small amount of souvenirs, jewelry, and wonderful FRESH baklava.
Musicians, dancers - some use swords and thiples. I never met a culture's fried dough that I didn't like.
Besides, how many opportunities do you get to see a priest dancing?

Not only a nice church, but they through a heck of a festival.
Grape leaves, spanokopita and baklava galore.
Then there's the dancers and musicians.
Get over there and enjoy the festival

I had the Lomo Saltado, I would order it again.
Ya gotta have Yucca! Very similar to potatos. The Peruvian platter offers them and the fried chicken.
Cute interior. The owner cares about service and ambience, though it is a new place and working out quirks.
