I'm so frustrated that this shop closes so early. When you're on your way to the symphony/ballet/opera after dinner, you can't stop in for dessert so make sure to get your treats before dinner.

Some of the flavors are bland but there are several that are truly remarkable. Lavender poppy, Persian rose, orange blossom (newest limited edition), and the AMAZING coconut lemon.

My main wish is that all of them were less sweet.

Been around the city on the hunt for my favorite burger. Little Griddle, Super Duper, Umami, and Serpentine. Of course, I had to try this $27 foie and truffle burger. I have to say it's first or second on my list as best burger but I prefer Serpentine's burger overall.

Tips:
Yes, really, it comes with fries that you would be crazy to eat after having such a burger.
They do have a regular burger without as hefty of a pricetag.
Their wines are 50% off on Tuesdays.

Some menu items are to die for and some are just not good so what kind of review should I leave? The duck ramen for lunch is fantastic. See my photo. The trout for lunch was overcooked and didn't even seem seasoned. The mushroom soup is outstanding but the grilled cheese it came with was more boring than a kraft sandwich. The seafood platter for dinner is excellent.

Dinner service is outstanding. Lunch service is meh.

Review just for pastries. I was so excited to find the perfect cinnamon roll - at least it sounded that way when I saw the description about brioche dough etc. Turns out a little on the bland and dry side, not worth the drive or $5. Savory scone was very dry. Pecan roll was extremely sweet. Blueberry muffin was nice and juicy. But the best was the cherry (walnut?) scone.

Great lunchtime service with excellent burger (see my photo). I believe it came with onion jam and horseradish cream. One fireplace with seating on both sides. There's also a large fire pit outside with seating but I don't know when that's lit or if food is served there as well.

I haven't eaten here from the regular menu but I've had this chef's food on three occasions. Twice at the restaurant for private parties and once at the home of reknowned chef Cecilia Chiang. http://foodandwinemave... He ranges from the highest quality just-caught paper-thin sliced abalone to the most amazing pork belly with sweet black poppy.
