What a surprise to discover this movie theater, 5 years after moving in Philadelphia... Shame on me. To see Hollywood releases it's now my destination of choice. Sitting is awesome, screen and sound quality totally acceptable, and price is similar to what you'd pay on Delaware Avenue for the worst movie experience ever.
I'm digging the Bridge!

Cactus Restaurant and Bar

First time I went to Cactus was on their opening night. No remarkable memory of that evening but I'm all for not judging a restaurant on their opening night.
I was looking for a decent and inexpensive place to grab lunch with a friend, and Manayunk area is not easy: you either have sandwich shops or fine dining... Cactus turned out to be a good balance. The food was almost better than I expected and the service very nice... I ordered the Fajita salad (fresh and tasty) and my friend had the pulled pork which he was raving about. Don't expect anything but a decent casual Tex-Mex, and you won't be disappointed.

Delicious... and actually tastes like REAL yoghurt, the type we have in Europe. In over 5-years here, I never was able to find something similar, so I welcome Yogorino with a big smile.
And the portions? The small is perfectly satisfying and I don't even think I could eat more than that at once. Bigger is not always better.

Marialana Romagnoli has been styling my hair for a few years now and she has always been great. Lately, she recommended that I did the Rejuvenol Keratin Treatment and that's the best thing that ever happened to my hair. The salon is a hidden gem with smart, attentive, knowledgeable, friendly staff and totally affordable prices!

Went to Estia last night with a couple friends. We had a glass of wine and share a few appetizers... the food was delicious, the place is beautiful and the staff very nice. But when the bill came up to be over $100.00 I suddenly wondered if it was really worth it. And I'm not sure it is.

My first time at the Belgian Cafe was for a beer dinner and I turned out to be very impressed by the quality of the food and the knowledge of the staff. A few month later, last Sunday, I went back for lunch, pretty sure to get the same quality.

I ordered a medium rare burger that came out totally well-done (I'm French, I like my meat with some juice in it and that was really disappointing). And I'm not the one to send anything back to the kitchen, so I ate it.

When our credit card came back (how complicated is it to split the check evenly on 2 credit-cards?), my customer copy was missing. Once again, didn't create drama but overall, iced the cake of somewhat disappointing experience.

Really nice BYOB seafood restaurant. Some people call it greek, don't expect it to be your traditional gyro's place. Lots of great grilled fresh seafood, healthy and yummy. Bring a bottle of dry white wine and a few friends and enjoy your dinner in a casual and friendly atmosphere. One only hick-up: cash only and not specified anywhere when you get there.

An unbeatable $7.95 lunch deal! I'm not a Thai food expert so I won't get into the debate, all I know is what I ate was tasty and fresh in a nice quiet atmosphere.
I walked by this place for 5 years and never stepped into it. It's a shame I wish I did it earlier!
