Angie is THE best. No joke. I was so not in pain during the process, uncomfortable maybe but considering what was happening....no pain is a miracle.
Angie is also very nice and fun to talk with while the process is ensuing.
The location is convenient and easy to find.
Her rates are VERY reasonable. And she will pretty much do the wax as you specify.
I am very happy with the results and will be back to battle my hair "from down there" throughout the summer and fall.
The Notre Dame game was finishing up and there were some very excited fans in there....wow. But all the more pub-like with the hooting and hollering fans.
Staff was attentive and checking on people not at the bar and keeping the drinks going and flowing. I like BD Riley's and will be back.

Anywho, we ended up at Joe's and I loved it. At first I was little shy to sing but then it was a big group singing and laughing so it was very easy to join in. I would not have paid the $9 to get in but my friend paid, so I happily joined in on the fun. I did not have any drinks but the staff was constantly coming around checking on everyone.
I would go back, I enjoyed the singsongs and the vibe all around. Good time!

I order the steak fajita omelet. The man ordered taco salad, he wanted veggies. Bah at veggies I said.
We downed 3 baskets of chips, yum and freshly fried. I was sipping my drink, having a fun conversation.
The food came out and we got all to eating. My omelet was very good, not over cooked and the meat was very tender. Beans had a bit of a skin on them but I mixed it all up really and it just tasted great. The man ate his taco salad and said he enjoyed it.
Chips were quickly replaced and our waiter came to check on us frequently.
No this was not the best meal of my life. No, I was not planning on going there. Yes it was good and Yes I enjoyed myself. I will be back.

I went in on my sister's recommendation. I got a manicure, pedicure, and my eyebrows waxed. I was the only one in the shop, so both the ladies went to work.
The manicure was nice. I don't usually do them since I have kids and my nails never make it through a couple of days. But it was a nice experience.
The chair was comfy and the water temperature just right. The pedicure was relaxing and fun. It has lasted over 2 weeks and not chipped.
I ended up paying 42 all together, plus the tip, so it was 50 all together. Good price, good service. I plan on going back.

The night was pretty, I was there to celebrate my baby sis and her 21st! Whoot. We came in around 9 pm, and the place was still pretty full.
I do not remember what anyone else had.....so I will just review my actual meal and drink. I had the ruby red slipper as my cocktail of choice and loved, loved, loved it. I ordered the chicken almondine and the macaroni and cheese as my side item. mmmmm.
The food was great. Comfort food/southern style yum. Both my sisters had some thing or other, and said they enjoyed it.
Our waiter was friendly and helpful. I would love to come back sometime for another nice event.
We showed up around 7ish and the wait without a reservation was an hour. Eek. But the hostess, Renee-my namesake weeeeeeeeeeeee-said she would call us when a table got closer to be available. So we went and messed around at DSW, at Arbor Walk, have to plug my shoe palace, haha.
Renee did call us! Wow, nice! She wasn't kidding. So we showed up around 8ish, got our table. They had real music playing. And the inside is dimly lit and welcoming. It's not a big place, so there are just enough tables to make the place seem full but not packed.
We sat and our waiter came to the table and told us about the special for the night. He spoke with an accurate Italian accent and made me feel comfortable. So, we sat and chatted and looked over the menu.
We ended up ordering the Capesante dello- Pan-seared sea scallops with shallots and capers, finished in a brandy cream sauce with a touch of balsamic vinegar. OMG! The very best scallops I have ever had in my life. Cooked perfectly, they almost melted in my mouth. And the sauce they were served with-sigh-divine! haha
For our main course, I got the Penne Andiamo - Penne with marinated artichoke hearts, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and asparagus in a white wine sauce. LC ordered the Medaglioni di Carne - Medallions of beef tenderloin sautéed with black truffle cognac sauce, served with parmesan risotto. Both were delicious. The pasta was cooked just right, the sauce was creamy but not dripping of grease or butter. And the beef was yum and the sauce just made it all come together.
Great Italian, the best I have ever had in Austin. Weird location for such tastiness. But worth it. Will remain on my list of nicer places to go for special dinners.

Every Wednesday is family night, one free kids meal with each adult meal purchased. We stopped in 2 weeks ago, with my sister in tow to utilize one more free kids meal.
The sis and I split a margherita pizza and ceaser salad. Both were delicious.
The kids got personal pizzas and fries. Oh the humanity of missing veggies for them that night...but meh.
It was fun and the food was tasty.
The milkshakes are perfect. Made to order and they have some interesting flavors.

I have to say, this was the first place I have ever rented here in Austin, and it holds a special place in my heart for being my first real home of my own after my separation and divorce. At the same time, it was a terrible place to live. When I moved in, the carpets were not clean-ie filthy. The office fought me on even getting them cleaned, which was not all that helpful since by the time they did get a cleaning team in there, my stuff was everywhere so it was just clean around all this furniture type thing.
I moved out at the end of December 2009, and good riddance is how I feel. I certainly can respect that apartments are expensive in this town and it's hard to find a good place to live, for a reasonable amount, on top of considering things like drive/commute times etc etc. I would not live here again and hope that others can avoid this complex as well. The money 'saved' is not worth what you get when you live here.
