Their falafel is great! And I love their lamb kebab plate. They give a lot of food for a very reasonable price and others have raved about their falafel wraps as well. They've recently started giving a free bowl of lentil soup (in addition to the free falafel!) with every meal as well and when it's cold outside, the bowl of soup definitely helps.
-1 star only for the location. otherwise this is a great lunch pick up.

Recently tried their signature sandwich, grilled chicken, arugula, brie, peppers - heavenly. The sandwich isn't that big and they are fairly expensive for lunch, but oh so worth it! All their sandwiches sound very tasty, and the best part is any one of them can be turned into a salad for another 50 cents. Pretty awesome.
I also had their macaroons, and they're to die for. It was very difficult to pass by all those desserts and sweet things and not be able to order them all. But considering how I have let winter take its course and succumed to the tube at home rather than the gym, I somehow refrained. Their coffee is great as well.
As far as service goes, the people are very nice and genuinely seem happy to work there. It has a very neighborhood feel to it which I always appreciate. The menu is written up on a chalkboard (with really cute quotes) and somehow I associate that with great food. They also have daily specials which looked extremely appetizing.
I really do adore this place and can't get enough of it. Next try will be the roasted lamb, tomato chutney sandwich and the raspberry bread pudding!
I wouldn't touch the food here, and neither would I call this place a lounge. It is a bar with loud dance music - and a fun one at that. Go with people you love being with and you're guaranteed a good time. Then again, that's with any place. Hence, the average rating.

regardless, it's a nice after work hang out with good bartenders who make good drinks and are are personable. the prices are reasonable and they usually have a good collection of beer on tap. i can't say i've had their food, though i'd imagine it wouldn't be that much different than the good life.
the only gripe i have is that when it gets crowded the long corridor space just gets kinda annoying. Constantly having to move to get out of people's way so they can rush to the bathroom doesn't really mesh well when you're trying to have a thoughtful conversation. With that said, that usually is the case with most crowded bars in this area....i just found it happening more so at kingston.
Ok fine, 3 stars it is.

I'd read all the reviews and went in with an open mind considering that it ranged from bad to pretty good. When we walked in, the place looked nice with dim lighting and really great service (except for the waitresses who had nothing else to do and were lingering around our table...kinda annoying). 1st & 2nd star. I'm a sucker for ambiance and service to complement it. We were seated right away and I noticed their extensive bar and while I did not have any drinks that night, I did appreciate their inventory. Seemed like they had plenty of sake.
The menu is incredibly big and has everything from seafood, to sushi, to traditional asian, to some thai so it's difficult to choose. I wasn't feeling like sushi that night (and the prices definitely deterred me from it) so we went with seafood (baked salmon with panang) and a safer dish, singapore noodles. We also got an appetizer, hamachi kama which is broiled yellowtail with a side sauce. The appetizer was decent - nothing earthshattering, but we did end up finishing all of it. And it came in a good portion.
Then we received our main courses and everything went downhill from there. The salmon didn't have any kind of it's own taste and was incredibly overwhelmed by the panang. It tasted more like chicken than salmon infact. My singapore noodles came in incredibly generous amounts for I can have 2 more meals out of it and it looked delicious. Wish it had tasted delicious as well though....it was just bland and dry. I wanted dessert, but I was so disappointed in the food we decided to skip.
I've heard decent things about their sushi so if I ever do come here again I will try that, but otherwise I was disappointed overall in their food quality and will be sticking to my other regular boylston street asian places.

Though they shouldn't be too afraid - the place is a nice cambridge hangout. The drinks are good and strong (and served in tiny martini/wine glasses for the same price....) The food is strictly ok. I ordered the spicy carribbean jerk chicken sandwich with fries. Neither the sandwich nor the fries were great. I was just REALLY hungry. Though I did peek over and the salmon and mashed potatoes did look delicious. Once again, looked being the key word here.
However the service was good for the most part. We had a large party and they did take care of us well enough. I still would like to come back to this place during the summer and see how the roof deck is like - this review is incomplete without it. But I can see how the proximity to the B school combined with the roofdeck and drinks can make this place a regular hangout.

Columbus Dry Cleaners
Category: Dry Cleaning & Laundry
Neighborhoods: South End, Back Bay
Columbus Dry Cleaners are my dry cleaners of choice. Not simply because of proximity, but because their service really is up to par and they do a great job for the price they charge. Back Bay/South End usually has incredibly high prices when it comes to dry cleaning so I do appreciate that theirs is on the more reasonable end. Along with that, their service is usually great. The staff there is really nice and remembers who you are and are usually timely with all of their dry cleaning work. I've never had an issue when it comes to that.
However the reason why I'm giving it 3 1/2 stars is because of their extreme delay in doing a stitch job. I was told a certain day, and I came about 4 days later and the job still hadn't been done. That annoyed me slightly and I expected a discount for the delay, but nothing of the sort happened. I realize the onus is on me to ask for it, but for things like this I expect the store to automatically oblige. Regardless, the work was done well.
In short, the slight unpleasant experience does not deter me from going there for dry cleaning. It's a great little place and they'll keep my business.

Thank god I went with some really fun people and ended up having a good time regardless. Needless to say, it helps knowing people there. We ended up getting a table and the staff was really good to us. I will say however, that the drinks are fairly expensive and so are the bottles. They have 'mini' bottles which cost about 1/3 of the price, so you can get a table and get one of those instead of spending an extravagant amount on a bottle.
The place looks nice and is a nice cozy place. I haven't had the food so I can't say much about that. Other than that, it's a good place to go with a few friends, but i don't frequent there enough to love it or be a fan of the place.

The service was good and prompt even though they were very busy. Their setup is slightly awkward with a restaurant (where you have to wait to be seated) and then a cafe side which is more of a takeout or a quick eat in atmosphere. But overall decor is nice.
Flour will still be my favorite, but this comes a close in terms cafes in the south end.
