      I used to absolutely adore this place. They had the best antiques in the back and a variety of gift and household items throughout. It changed when new owners took over. Most of the charm is lacking. Still good coffee, but antiques are minimal and selection throughout store is lacking. Unless I want a coffee or drinks I have no reason to just pop in. I used to love visiting to see what was new that I needed.

      My husband went in for a root canal. They were unable to do it and he had to be referred to a specialist. He had already prepaid. They were unable to refund to his card and said they would refund via check at their office. It has been over 10 days and he has not received the check. First they called him on Fri to tell him the check was ready, but when he went to pick it up they gave him someone else's check. Then they said it would be Sat or Mon. Then Wed. Now it is almost 4 on Wed, still no check, just excuses. They promise it'll be today. We will see.

      I wanted to buy sliced dried meat and cheese at the Baytown location. I buy the same two items at other locations in Temple and Terrel all the time. I am always unable to finish it all so I have them either put it in a bag for me that I can later reseal and use for lunch later, or they give me a clear ziplock bag so I can save it for later. I asked at the beef jerky counter for this and the later rudley answered that she could not do this. I explained I was hours away from home and wanted to save the leftovers. Asked if she could repackage it smaller into two smaller sealed bags for me to purchase. She would not. Asked the team leader the same questions and he also refused. His reasoning was that I could take the clear ziploc bag and use it to steal items thruout the store. I left the store purchasing only the food items my family had already ordered and fountain drinks already dispensed. I did not shop any further after this nor buy my the normal meat and cheese or 3 bags of jerky. Nor did I buy the planned gifts. You lost sales because of fear of shoplifting using a clear plastic ziplock bag. I would have been fine with the bag being sealed with a sticker even. Very disappointed.

      Pulled up to drive thru with one car in front of me at speaker. Took about 7 mins for that car to move forward. Thought maybe customer was reason for delay until I got to speaker. Was told someone would be right with me, and then nothing for over 10 minutes. Same with other lane, silence. I even tried to get someone to respond when car behind me started honking and cars left. Someone then came on and took the inside cars order and the car behind that one. Then a few minutes later I was finally was able to place my order of two small items and pull forward. At this point there was three cars in front of me. Took another 15 minutes to get to the first window to pay. Asked girl if they were having system issues to which she responded that she doesn't know as she doesn't take orders, but that they were probably "goofing off" Shuts window and starts laughing with someone I couldn't see. Several minutes later I get to food pick up window and get my food thrown at me. Again inquire about long wait and was told that they stop taking orders when they have a lot of cars until they can clear some out. I guess to keep drive thru timer good. Pull away and open bag to find my order is wrong and the meat patty is cold.

      Love the new store. Roomy aisles, great location. Staff are helpful. Easier to shop at than larger super center.
