I booked my latest trip to Vegas using Orbitz, and for my budget this little gem of the desert popped up. I have never heard of or seen this place before so I wasn't even sure about staying there. After some research, I decided, what the hell. It's not like I'm taking it home to mom.

Anyway, I'm really happy I ended up choosing it. It was very cozy and I still got to be close to the strip without paying strip pricing. They don't allow smoking in the rooms but they do have a tiny balcony (and I mean like protruding only 16in before you fall off kind of tiny) that you can puff away from.

It doesn't have a casino though, but it's only around the corner from the Wynn so it's not a problem to just walk over there and gamble. It's also right next door to a KBBQ spot and a good sized liquor store, so that made it a big plus for me =)

I'll admit, it's not much of a looker but when your food arrives you're not going to give a damn where you eat!

I LOVE ALBERTO'S! Everything I've tried has been exceptional. My favorites are the carne regular sized tacos (not street style) and the super fries (no guac -- eww). The portions are huge! You either have to be a hungry beast or not mind sharing. Since I do mind sharing, I always find myself not only unbuttoning my pants, but letting the zipper out just a tad, too.

This is not a hipster spot, and it certainly isn't for the body/health conscious. If you're either, just keep out and leave the feast to the beasts. JK, but really, don't come here if you're dieting, ain't no vegan options either.

I had my doubts about this place at first but now I am fan! I was always told the Boiling Crab is better but my tummy begs to differ. First of all, their shrimp and crawfish are bigger which translates to MORE MEAT. Plus, their spicy is actually spicy.

I gotta say though, parking sucks. Tiny ass lot and no shade, but eh, it's not like I plan to eat their food outside in my car. Anyway, the servers were very attentive, so if I have to compare again to BC, well... there's really no comparison as I've never received good service from BC.

On the two occasions that I've been here, I've never had to wait for a seat so that's always nice =)

POP Champagne & Dessert Bar

A cute little venue with a nice, kinda romantic ambiance, and a contemporary take on swanky decor. The mac & cheese was one of the best I've ever tasted and so was the rum crepe. The champagne I had, I don't remember the name however, was pretty good considering I'm not at all a fan of champagne.

Unfortunately, the facade ends there and I will never come back to this place. Ever. I visited, along w/9 others to celebrate a friend's birthday. First, they have a ridiculous "policy" that if your party has 10 or more people, the bill has to average at least $40 a person, not including tax and tip. I understand some places having a minimum purchase policy should it be a small party, but wouldn't 10+ people mean more money anyway? Whatever, I let it slide because it wasn't my birthday.

Then, they had the audacity to tell us that regardless if our party was comeplete (due to some people being late) that they would still need for us to be finished by a certain time because they have another party of 10 coming. If a business is a business, you don't just tell your patrons when to leave because you're expecting to con another group of the same size with your 'fancified' take on take-out/fast food.

This place likes to believe it's more exclusive than it actually is. By 10pm on a Friday night, the place was still pretty empty. The party after us might have gotten a heads up and spent their money someplace more worth while.

My BF and I ate here on a Monday so since it wasn't packed, I can't really judge how attentive they are during busy hours. But for what it's worth, the service was really great, everyone was very friendly and always came by to ask if we needed anything else or whatever.

We ordered some of the discounted sushi (I forgot which) but I do remember our main dishes being the Soft Shell Crab Roll and The Jason Roll. Both we delicious, but I'll be honest, I've had better soft shell crab rolls elsewhere. The Jason Roll on the other hand was scrumptious. I highly recommend it if you like spicy sushi. I've never had anything else like it. We also ordered fried calamari rings which was awesome.

Anyway, it's really nice inside, but I don't care too much for ambiance cuz good food speaks for itself. I had a great experience overall and I would have given them 5 stars but our last order came in a little over 20mins after we were done with everything else, which gave me the sense that maybe they forgot? Weird since it was just us and 3 other groups dining.

No matter, I'll probably only come here when it's slow though =)

Ok so service is slow, but when you taste the food, you'll know why. It's fresh and frikken delicious. I've tried the wings, fried chicken, a variety of pastas and sandwiches, and of course, the pizza. Everything has tasted absolutely great.

I've never eaten inside but I have ordered for carryout once. The place isn't terrible, I mean, I guess if you're some type of hipster who's not really there for the food but rather for the "atmosphere" then you'd probably turn your nose up at the place.

Bottom line: fair pricing for yummy food. You probably ain't gonna get someone to keep refilling your water, you're probably gonna wait, it probably isn't the spot to take candid shots and post them all over ur FB Wall, but if you do like I do and just order for delivery, guaranteed you and everyone else you order for will be stuffed and satisfied!

PS: for a party of 4, may I suggest the large pizza w/16 wings and 4 cans of soda for $18.99 deal? We just got that today and OMG... heaven in my tummy!

Good Pho You

First and foremost, let's get this whole Koreans making Vietnamese food bs out of the way. Yes the place is Korean owned, and yes the pho is not the absolute best (only home cooked pho is deserving of 5 stars in my pho'king opinon haha jk). I've tasted Chinese food made by Mexicans, Mexican food made by Japanese, and Italian food made by Chinese, and so what? What's the big deal?

On to the review:
So looking at the menu I was surprised that the joint was more cafe style than a restaurant, which might explain the slightly higher prices but still, not a big deal to me since the place was cute and clean, and the servers were very friendly and attentive.

When the food arrived (my BF ordered pho but I'm not sure which one, I ordered vermicelli with grilled chicken and pork dumplings), I was happy to see that the bowls were huge (makes it worth the price tag)! They put a lot of meat in both of our bowls and my dumplings didn't even look like dumplings, those were fat little piggies! Everything tasted great and I will be back to try some more of whatever else they offer.

Over all, good food, great atmosphere, good times =)

Hong Song Dr Chiropractic Clinic

This man is amazing. Very straight forward (he won't sugar-coat your condition just to make you feel better about yourself) and very caring. He told me exactly what my condition was, what I can do to improve it and what will make it worse. My last chiropractor gave me options about what I *could* do to help my back, but not Dr. Hong. Nope. Simply put, he told me exactly what *needs* to happen if I want to see improvement.

I really appreciate that type of approach considering so many "professionals" out there are so concerned over what other people might say about their expert opinions. I mean seriously, give it to me straight doc... that's exactly what I got from Dr. Hong.

I still have some treatment left with him before I feel completely better, but just with the first treatment alone I felt like a whole new person. For a long time, it was uncomfortable to sleep on my left side. Not knowing any better, I thought that might just be the norm for me so I avoided doing so. After the first adjustment with him, I could sleep however way I chose to sleep! Some of you may not understand, but for those similar to me, its a VERY big deal! Now I can wake up without back pain, strained neck/shoulders, a pinching feeling in my spine, etc.

Thank you doc! Looking forward to more treatments with you!

So this isn't my first spa experience but it was my first massage experience. And let me tell you, it was wonderful! At first, I originally preferred to be massaged by a female because I was afraid a male might be too rough. So when Sylvi (the owner and the awesome gal who arranged my entire visit and did my facial) called me last minute to let me know that my massage might be coming from a dude, I became a bit nervous. However, Carlos (my amazing male masseuse) made me feel very comfortable from the get-go. He made me aware of everything he was doing and was always considerate of my comfort level the entire time.

Let's back track for a moment. I found this company thru Groupon. I purchased the mani + pedi deal for my sister & niece (her daughter) for their birthdays. I visited their website just to get some more info about the company and was very impressed. Everything was laid out to my liking. Thorough descriptions along with pricing was all laid out and no fine print. I love a straight forward, no BS type of company, so I decided on purchasing more services for myself and my mom.

Fast forward to date of service, they were nice enough to buy us finger foods as a surprise because I had mentioned (when I was making the appointment weeks ago) that my party and I were celebrating both my sister and my niece's bdays. A company that puts that much effort and consideration about their clients, on top of really great service, has my business for good. Plus my niece, who's normally very uncomfortable and super quiet around people she doesn't know, was really impressed with Krista who did her mani & pedi. All she could talk about on the way home (and we live 40 miles away!) was how cool Krista was.

Thumbs up all the way, and definitely looking forward to future visits =)

So this place really isn't much of a looker but I do love the food! I've always ordered take-out and sometimes had stuff delivered. My two faves from the menu is the 3 Delights (which I always ask them to make it spicy) and the honey walnut shrimp.

Time has never been an issue with them. Whether it's take out of delivery, my food has always been ready before whatever estimated time they say (which is a big plus since I have full understanding of Asian time, since I'm Asian, and everything is 5-10 minutes when they really meant 20-30 lol). But this place, when they say 10 minutes, they really mean 7 minutes!

Overall, only positive experiences from this joint =)
