My Second Favorite Website
Over the past 2 years I would say I have eaten at the Saloon on the Strip over 100 times for lunch - so far I have never been let down by a meal. After a long search for "The Best Buffalo Chicken Sandwich in the Strip" I finally found this place and haven't looked back. Daily soups and specials for lunch are always homemade and are usually to die for (don't forget about the mac and cheese!)
The thing I love most about this place is it's "everyone knows your name" feel. The wait staff (and owner) go out of their way to get to know you, learn what you like, and eventually you feel part of the family. Walking in and having your favorite beverage put in front of you without saying a word is just a fantastic customer experience! Also, they are upon to suggestions and really take a customer first approach to their business.
As for the happy hour scene, you can expect a good discount on beer and cheap appetizers (or as I like to call them "chappetizers"). Make sure you ask for the corn fritters, those things will just melt in your mouth. There is a nice upstairs "lounge" with a dart board, pool table, cigarette machine, some tables and couches - which is great for a group happy hour or event. I have personally held 2-3 events up there and combination of price and experience will bring me back the next time I'm planning.
Overall, if work anywhere near this place, you need to check it out for lunch; if you don't , check it out for one of their great happy hours - you won't be let down.
