Great beer selection, great music, great people. Don't over dress and be prepared for interesting conversations. A great start to a weekend out in dc.

Lot's of places to sit, 2nd floor balcony for summer, and a great low priced bar menu. Also two blocks from my apartment. One of the best burgers I have had in Old Town, and for under 10 bucks.

Pita House

For authentic Lebanese food, you've come to the right place. I tried the pie plate appetizer and one of the meaty wraps. Very delicious in a spicy tomato baste and homemade thin pita bread. Wraps are filling and only around 7 dollars, so this is definitely a spot that I walk to for dinner at least once a week.

A big plus is that this is off of King St., so it is less touristy, no frills or flash just good food. The only bad thing is that the bathroom is tiny, but it didn't bother me.

Red Mei

I have been to Red Mei over five times now since I have moved into Old Town in August 2008. I have loved everything I tried, but I keep going back for the King Pao and I order it extra spicy.

I have ordered take out and picked it up on my bike and it literally took them five minutes to make everything and it was ready by the time I showed up.

Each dish's sauce is unique, slightly sweet, and very flavorful.

What is really amazing is that each dish is only a little less than seven dollars. Delicious and cheap!

The only negative about the place is the music. They have an adult contemporary station on from XM radio. They should really switch it to 43 or 47 which are alternative stations, but that is my personal bias thrown in I guess.

A little pricey for a pub, but the food is delicious, especially the shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie, and other irish dishes. I had fish and chips and they were pretty decent, but not as good as Murphy's.

I love the front and back outside seating. I also like the projector screen for football games. Also, I have a crush on one of the waitresses, and I haven't said one word to her yet, she is always waiting on other tables when I am there.

I am definitely a fan of this place. This is one of my favorite spots for people watching. The Old Town Trolley pulls up across the street every few minutes and you get to watch tourists mill about in the dusk light. I have been here twice since moving to Old Town back in August and I will go again.

The drinks are a little pricey, but very good, especially if you are with a date and you want to splurge a little but not go over the top formal and stuffy. I recommend the Cashew Chicken, and ask for it spicy. The sauce is amazing.

I found Bilbo Baggins randomly biking around my new town. I went for lunch and loved it. The table bread was fresh and spongy. The decor is a little more pub-like than I thought it would be, but the food made up for it. I am definitely going back again.

Oh, and did I mention they have free wifi as long as you order food? I may go back with my laptop and hang out for a while next time.

I am newly local to Old Town, and it looked like a great place, so I decided to take my family here for some good pizza. The sauce tasted like it was from a can, but the worst part was the service. We waited forever for our server to fill our drinks and to bring the check. I may go again to give it another try.

Wow, what a great place to stay. My wife and I stayed here with our small dog in the Kingfisher House, which is directly behind the main building. A lot of great bird watching, hiking, and picture opportunities within walking distance. The Penn Alps restaurant is also right across the street, as well as an artisan village.

My personal favorite was the full breakfast served in the morning with delicious mushroom omelettes and some of the best french toast I have ever had with local tapped maple syrup. Definitely will be staying there again!

Artists' Corner Stained Glass Shop

I went there as a customer looking for stained glass windows. They had none. They did have a lot of pieces of loose colored glass that were quite  pricey (about 5 USD for a 8 inch by 8 inch cut piece). I was not impressed, but then again, I went in the store thinking it was selling stained glass pieces, as opposed to thinking it was a supplier for stained glass artists. So be forewarned.
