I have tried this place many of time and when they don't close the gate in your face or revoke your out of state ID, there is the fact they all of the beer and wine is warm even in the cooler. So it might be the only place open at 8 but they suck and don't take anything other a 20 dollar bill.  So if you have a 20 and a mass ID you are good to get your self a warm over priced beer.

I went to this place for the brunch, it's down the street from my apartment. I saw that they have a brunch for under eight dollars. It was busy on the Saturday mourning I was there. The started is a basket of cornbread that did in fact taste just like jiffy or even the Sysco brand, instant cornbread.

I'm from the south and I know what real cornbread taste like, in fact that flavor would have gone better with the trio of jams that's served with your jiffy.

The sangria here lacks fruit and in my opinion wine. It seems like they poured some seltzer on top of half a glass of wine and sent it out. There was no fruit soaking in wine. This was not really a true sangria.

The plantain empanada was pretty damn good, I would like to have more than one to my order though.

The eggs Benedict , eggs poached perfectly, the hhollandaise sauce was pretty damn flavorful and good. The small buttermilk biscuit was a let down. I don't understand why they would use instant.

This was pretty good even though the portion was pretty weak, but keep in mind this brunch only cost $7.95 and presentation is nice and you get to sit outside.

I like checking out things in Davis when I'm over there. This spot was a pretty quick late lunch. It's small inside and has a pretty tight open kitchen with a glass separator. I liked the use of their space.

The burgers are pretty good and there is a well rounded selection of flavors to put on your burger. The side of baked beans that you get are very good, as well are the fresh chips.

Wagamama

This is the second try I've given Wagamama. The atmosphere in this location was poorly lit and half of the place was being occupied by students having some sort of meeting. They made a few new tables leave in the hour I wasted there.

This time i tried the chicken katsu curry, that came out 3 minutes after my gyoza. It's awkward to sit there looking at a hot plate of food and not eat because your date is still picking at the appetizer. I still don't understand why the food comes out this way.

The dish was just not good. The chicken tasted like frozen institutional crap. I guess the instant curry sauce that was slathered on top would hide the cardboard flavor. Your eye could be distracted away from the screaming, clapping collage kids to notice the tomatoes on your salad look overtly beat. Why bother having an open kitchen with 6 guys on the line if you can't even put out a salad with fresh tomatoes?

This place is all flair with no follow through, also the Japanese fair is dumbed down and tasteless.  People should not have to pay for flair when they are there for food.

Jill always ask me when we go out to brunch, why I always get the eggs benedict. How I gauge the cooks level of skill is by the hollandaise sauce. It's hard to make and easy to fuck up.

The hollandaise sauce I had here had the consistency of the instant with the flavor of lemon and a lot of cayne pepper. It didn't have the correct flavor at all.

My english muffins were like rubber as if they were cooked in a microwave.

Home fries were sliced like chips and not cooked evenly, the crispy texture was not there at all.

I did eat it but I was not satisfied with my meal at all, in fact this almost ruined my experience there. If Jill had not finished her pancakes and let me finish them. The pancakes were very good and filling.

Bottom line, this place needs to tighten up the kitchen before a potently good thing gets ruined. I don't mind paying a higher price for food, if they can back it up. Right now you pay the higher price to be surrounded by old campy shit.

Best ice coffee around! There is something about the flavor of the coffee here, there is a clean after taste . Also I can feel the caffine after a drink from here. The pastry case is a host to a lot of good eats. If you are lucky enough to get something, it's empty before noon on most days.

Over all this is the best coffee shop around, because it has great coffee.

I was shopping for a used psp, when i  saw CEX next to the SUPER GAME STOP that's next door.  The over all atmosphere was that of a pawn shop. Every game case i picked up littlery was sticky or grimey in some way.

Behind the counter was some chubby kid with a cliche obama shirt on, micro managing other nerds as they buy junk from the trash that's lined up. There was a line of idiots trying to peddle crap for fast cash. probably for scratch tickets and giant ice coffees.

After checking out some used play station portables, I found that they were marking them up to be almost retail and the conditions of these things were awful. obvious scratches on the screen were the first of many flaws i saw.

Long story short, go to the game stop next door, they have giant touch screens that search their entire store, or chain of stores inventory of products.  The used PSP i got there was in mint condition and i paid 139.

My favorite gamestop, and this is coming from someone that has applied at gamestops all over the country for years and never got a job. I envy the dorks that work there. The %50 off sale bins consistently have both new and older games, under $20.

Shino Express Sushi - CLOSED

I'm not sure why they call this Express? I ordered one roll and one piece of yellow tail, it took 20 minutes to get, keep in mind I'm one of 3 customers at the time and one of them were waiting on their take out order as well. In the time it took them to make my small order, a real sushi chef could have sent out a boat full of sushi in that time.

The owner should realize that just because Juan and the gang can slice tomatoes fast doesn't mean they know shit about Japanese food. The portions were very weak. The flavor of the spicy mayo was very bland.

If you are looking for fast sushi in the bay, keep moving.
