Extremely affordable place to stay while visiting NYC. Rooms are teeny and I mean *teeny* hence the hotel's name :) Despite small room size, the room was extremely comfy and clean. The hallways are dark and the elevator was also small and cramped when you have a lot of folks in there but overall, I've had a positive experience when staying there ... and I've lodged there twice now. It's got a great location and is walking distance from tons of food and a fabulous pizza joint.

My kids have been patients at this practice for more years than I can remember. I think there are a handful of doctors at this location but my absolute all-time favorite is Dr. Ferguson. Her bedside manner is very loving and genuine. My baby girl was extremely colicky and making such a racket at a recent appointment but Dr. Ferguson was very warm with my baby, despite the loud crying and screaming. She reassured me that even she had had an extremely fussy baby of her own and she knows how stressful it can be; she was very kind and gave me hope by reminding me that soon my baby would grow out of the colic stage. Consistently, my children have received excellent attention and care at this pediatric practice. One of the other practice doctors came to check on my baby girl every day, post my delivery. She was very attentive and kind. If I had to say anything constructive about this practice is that sometimes, like most doctor offices I guess, they seem to overbook. It's not always the case but there definitely have been times where you might be waiting well past your appointment time. What can I say, these docs are busy and on demand. Bottom line: excellent medical attention for children and Dr. Ferguson is just a gem.

Blue Ridge Locksmithing

Several months back, I locked myself out of my car after returning my teenager daughter back to her high school. Compounding matters was the fact that I had to pick up my 5-year old son from his elementary school in less than 30 minutes; otherwise he would be stranded!!! I panicked of course and began my hunt for a local locksmith in the area. One never picked up the phone. Another had voice mail only. Somehow I managed to find Blue Ridge Locksmithing from Harpers Ferry, WV. By this time I was a nervous wreck thinking of my little boy and how LATE I was going to be. The locksmith from Blue Ridge Locksmithing was immediately compassionate to my plight. He ASAP rearranged his schedule or timing to come help me first and met me at my daughter's high school within 15 minutes. Needless to say this man SAVED the day and got me back in my car in only moments. Honestly, I do NOT know what I would have done without him. I highly recommend Blue Ridge Locksmithing if you are in the Charles Town or Harpers Ferry area of West Virginia.

Located in the heart of historic area surrounded by many older homes and residences. The building itself as you pull up to the property may appear "old" and that's because well ... it *is* an older historic property. The inside is very clean and very comfortable. Nice clean bathrooms. LOVE the vintage decor. Owner/operator Bruce was warm, kind and very hospitable. Just a super cozy cottage. If you are looking for "ultra modern" location, this may not be ideal for you BUT if you are looking for comforts of a home environment away from home with a vintage flair, this is the place for you! Well I don't give out 5 stars lightly and I realize that some of the other reviews here are varied but my experience here the other night was nothing short of perfect. From start to finish, I had a great time and the food I ordered was truly delicious. The bread, the ceasar salad, the lasagna and the cannoli were all divine. I was waiting to be disappointed and was pleasantly surprised when disappointment was no where in sight. Everything was super delicious and I really enjoyed my meal thoroughly!!! I also had fantastic company with me that night which made dinner at Argias exceptional and special. A great meal. Restaurant definitely was very busy and noise level was rather high but I attribute that to being there during Restaurant Week. I'd love to go back for the sequel.

Pane E Vino

Today was my second time eating @ Pane e Vino. Love sitting in their outdoor seating when the weather is lovely like today. The restaurant is very clean and inviting and the older gentleman who greeted and sat us down at our table was fun and quite nice. My dear friend ordered gnocchi which I totally should have done. Instead, I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken which was a mistake. The dish was hardly cheesy or creamy (more like watery). The noodles tasted soft and like pasta water. Sorry to say but I was disappointed and kept eating off my friend's plate. When our waitress brought out our pasta dishes she did not bring us any Parmesan cheese; at some point we had to ask for it and then we eventually got some. Same thing with the salt. We had no salt or pepper shakers on our table. And when I was served my cappuccino after our meal, I was never asked if I wanted any sugar with it, ever. And our waitress lady never came back so I was stuck with no sugar. As a result, I sucked down about half of the coffee drink but with much regret, could not finish it w/o sugar. Overall, the food in my opinion was mediocre at best. If I have to eat here again, I will definitely avoid the Fettuccine and go for the gnocchi in the white cream sauce. At least I had wonderful company and the day was gorgeous.

Had a business meeting @ Jumpin Java today with ultra cool twitter buddy and fellow online marketer @eknoch (http://cli.gs/Y5PXsX). Cute local coffee shop. Really nice staff. Great bagels. Yummy hot chais. Too bad for broken or non-working air conditioning today. Was sweating like a pig and hot chais did *not* help :) Otherwise, a really pleasant and enjoyable experience. If AC gets fixed, would consider giving 5 stars.

Science Club

I was there recently helping to administer an event so I was there more in a logistics capacity rather than as a casual diner but the staff was super nice and the club decor is cool with a "laboratory" kind of science theme going on. Their bar doesn't make mixed drinks but they managed to make some mean White Russians. I think they need bathroom signs somewhere; about 10-15 people asked me (a non employee just manning the event registration desk) where the bathroom was. Clearly, as a bar or club, signage to bathroom locations would be a good thing to have. Some photos of the event can give you insight into the how the club looks from the outside and inside if you're interested: http://cli.gs/6Qg5A5.
