Argia's Italian Restaurant

Well I don't give out 5 stars lightly and I realize that some of the other reviews here are varied but my experience here the other night was nothing short of perfect. From start to finish, I had a great time and the food I ordered was truly delicious. The bread, the ceasar salad, the lasagna and the cannoli were all divine. I was waiting to be disappointed and was pleasantly surprised when disappointment was no where in sight. Everything was super delicious and I really enjoyed my meal thoroughly!!! I also had fantastic company with me that night which made dinner at Argias exceptional and special. A great meal. Restaurant definitely was very busy and noise level was rather high but I attribute that to being there during Restaurant Week. I'd love to go back for the sequel.
Today was my second time eating @ Pane e Vino. Love sitting in their outdoor seating when the weather is lovely like today. The restaurant is very clean and inviting and the older gentleman who greeted and sat us down at our table was fun and quite nice. My dear friend ordered gnocchi which I totally should have done. Instead, I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken which was a mistake. The dish was hardly cheesy or creamy (more like watery). The noodles tasted soft and like pasta water. Sorry to say but I was disappointed and kept eating off my friend's plate. When our waitress brought out our pasta dishes she did not bring us any Parmesan cheese; at some point we had to ask for it and then we eventually got some. Same thing with the salt. We had no salt or pepper shakers on our table. And when I was served my cappuccino after our meal, I was never asked if I wanted any sugar with it, ever. And our waitress lady never came back so I was stuck with no sugar. As a result, I sucked down about half of the coffee drink but with much regret, could not finish it w/o sugar. Overall, the food in my opinion was mediocre at best. If I have to eat here again, I will definitely avoid the Fettuccine and go for the gnocchi in the white cream sauce. At least I had wonderful company and the day was gorgeous.
Had a business meeting @ Jumpin Java today with ultra cool twitter buddy and fellow online marketer @eknoch (http://cli.gs/Y5PXsX). Cute local coffee shop. Really nice staff. Great bagels. Yummy hot chais. Too bad for broken or non-working air conditioning today. Was sweating like a pig and hot chais did *not* help :) Otherwise, a really pleasant and enjoyable experience. If AC gets fixed, would consider giving 5 stars.
I was there recently helping to administer an event so I was there more in a logistics capacity rather than as a casual diner but the staff was super nice and the club decor is cool with a "laboratory" kind of science theme going on. Their bar doesn't make mixed drinks but they managed to make some mean White Russians. I think they need bathroom signs somewhere; about 10-15 people asked me (a non employee just manning the event registration desk) where the bathroom was. Clearly, as a bar or club, signage to bathroom locations would be a good thing to have. Some photos of the event can give you insight into the how the club looks from the outside and inside if you're interested: http://cli.gs/6Qg5A5.
