The best deli in town!  Fresh beyond fresh, wonderful ingredients, really imaginative and tasty combinations.  Great value for money - and nice with it.  Fantastic place for lunch, snacks and any other excuse to eat great casual food!

Update - 5/2/2010
Sadly, in a year, this place has drastically changed.  Or maybe the team on Sunday evenings are second rate?

Tonight, the burger was greasy, salty and quite horrible.  The baked potato skins were so oily you could barely pick them up, and the service was appaling.  When asked about our meal, I mentioned the overwhelming grease and salt and the waitress replied, "oh that's the burger!"  When I suggested that maybe a tomato slice might cut the grease and salt, she said that a slice of tomato was by special request only...

Yuck!  No manager came by to apologize.  We were just given the check.  Poor food, snippy obnoxious waitress... we're not going again.  And we'll tell as many people as we can not to bother either.

Such a shame!

I have now been to M&E's 2x: Once for lunch in the winter season, when the fire was on the bar and all sorts of interesting people were hanging out.  The atmosphere was welcoming, open and friendly;  it was a lovely spot to have found.

The 2nd time I came with my family for a mid-week dinner.  The menu was so full, we had a hard time deciding what to get.  In the end, we each had 4 very different things - and all were terrific.

Then my son got to have a sundae from a bathtub full of toppings, flavors, etc.!!!  WOW! Heaven for 8 year old boys!

The service was charming; we had a terrific time.

Very friendly staff, totally welcoming and warm.  The Restaurant is obviously newly decorated and has an charming, enticing ambiance, especially for a strip restaurant.

The complementary vetable-orzo soup was completely delicious, and my Linguine Carbonara was spectacular!!! Rich, zesty, meaty... absolutely First Class!!  My son loved his pizza and my husband thought his meatball great fun on top of his lasagna, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

$15 for an entire liter of extremely drinkable chianti and the value of this restaurant can't be beat!  Add to that Owner, Fred, coming round the tables to check up on things and cheerfully chat away and this family-friendly "gourmet" Italian is a find, indeed!

We got lucky.  Kerri was our server.  This girl is sweet, sincere and so efficient!  Plus, she can handle custom orders, people who change their mind after they've ordered and a rambunctious 8 year old boy with  the kind of diplomacy the State Dept should know about!!

We had a lovely Saturday night there!  Good thing we arrived at 5:45, because by 7 all tables were full and this was only April.

There's no property manager on Myrtle Beach's Grand Strand that treats owners and renters better than Ken Shimer of Myrtle Beach Rental Connections.  His business card reads:  Doing Business the Old Fashion Way", which for Ken, means where you treat every property as if it were your own, and every client as if they were family.

Lori White heads up the Sales Department with style, wisdom, humor and a ton of experience.  She goes above and beyond for clients and customers, and their loyalty is her reward.

There are only a handful of sales associates & property managers; not many meet Ken's extremely high standards.  Those that do, serve proudly, working as tirelessly as he does, to exceed expectations and find the best possible answer in every real estate transaction.

The coolest place in town!  NOT just for this suburban mom and small biz owner but for teens (YES!!) and kids and the Mahjong players and.... the list goes on and on.

Not only can they get you any book in print thru the vastly superior intra-library lending system in Somerset County, but they have stacks of dvds, classical music cds, audio books, magazines, the works!!

AND, they're fun, kind, amusing people who seem to love what they do and the warm, friendly environment they've created here.

I had no idea libraries could be like this.  It's a new world!!
