Loved everything about this hotel- from the staff to the large comfy rooms to the modern decor. I am a fan!
Stayed here to attend a naval graduation- perfect location just about 5 miles away.
The rooms were huge- and really nicely decorated. I loved the colors. The shower was amazing. Free Wi-fi and free breakfast in the morning.
The staff was always pleasant and eager to help my family during our stay.
The only thing missing was a jacuzzi!
If ever in the area again, I will be sure to stay at this location!

I am a fan of Marriott in general, and especially Residence Inn. I love the full kitchens and the friendly service.
This hotel was similar to most every other Residence Inn. It seems a bit outdated- they need to update their TV's especially. But it was super clean and in a good location.

Jessup Cellars
Categories: Beer, Wine & Spirits, Wineries
I went to a private tasting here with some wine club members- very fun experience! Jessups is a small boutique winery that does not sell in stores or wholesale- so if you want their wine you have to deal with them directly.
Tracy was very knowledgeable and took her time answering all of our questions. They had cheeses, crackers and chocolates to compliment the wines.
The wine is fantastic- especially the Table for 4.
We had a fantastic time and I know we will be back to stock up again.

We stopped here for breakfast while driving from San Simeon to Monterrey. Our food and the service was fabulous- everything seemed fresh and of high quality. I loved my eggs Benedict!
I would like to come back to stay overnight- the rooms don't look that special but the location is breathtaking. Take a walk on the nature trail to look at the views from the back of the resort. Its worth it!

Cavalier Oceanfront Resort & Restaurant

For a hotel Restaurant, this was a good meal. Atmosphere is nothing special- kind of feels like one step up from a Denny's- but offering high priced steaks and seafood. You would think they would have amazing views but not really.
Our server was very friendly, food was good. Clam Chowder was excellent.
There are not a lot of choices for food in this area, and this is a decent choice.

Amazing! I did the Experience Tour here and loved every minute of it- from the tram ride up to the "Castle" to our funny and knowledgeable tour guide.
I would love to go back to do the other tours!!
What a great experience- especially if you love architecture or history.
I highly recommend visiting Hearst Castle at least once!

This is a decent motel in a decent location of Monterey. In Monterey hotels are expensive, so this is a good option if you don't want to spend a ton of money.
My experience was that our room was clean, the staff was pleasent and I would stay there again.

Wow- What a great dinner! I was not expecting such a great experience- I figured it was a tourist trap restaurant since its on cannery row next to the aquarium.
But, I was pleasantly surprised. Our server provided some of the best service I have had in a long time. He was knowledgeable, friendly and on top of it.
The views from our table were beautiful- we watched the sunset and sea otters -playing in the ocean.
The food was fabulous. My halibut was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend ordered the fillet Mignon and he said it was the best he has ever had.
I would highly recommend this restaurant! One of the bets dining experiences I have had in a long time!

A hike isn't always about the views- its about the birds, the flowers, the hils....the peace and quiet- about getting back to the simple things in life.
Henry Coe is a backpackers and bike riders dream.
Its not very developed- but that's the intention of the park. There are some developed campsites- but mainly this is a large piece of land that is perfect if you really want to get away from it all and "rough it"...AKA no RV's with generators running all night!
This park is helping to preserve an amazing piece of California so that its not ruined and lost forever.
The volunteers that help runs the visitors center and support the park do a fantastic job. They were super helpful to my friend and I when we asked a million questions.
I cant wait to go back!

The staff was actually a little rude and not very helpful.
The location is in a business park so there is nothing in walking distance.
If your not planning on spending a lot of time in your room and just need a comfortable place to lay your head, or, if you are in the area on business and want a place that feels more like an apartment than a hotel I would say this would be acceptable. Otherwise, I would stay someplace else.
