After a night of partying, I left my jacket behind so I  called the next morning to retrieve it.  The guy on the phone didn't go looking for it (first red flag), but said I can swing by and check their lost-and-found area.  cool.  I get there at 11:30am, and the surly worker guy (different person than the one I talked with on the phone) refuses to let me in to look for my jacket.  WTF?

He  "We open at 12p.  Come back then."
Me "I just want to check if you guys have my jacket.  It'll prob take less than 2 minutes."
He "Come back at 12 when we open."  No apology, no explanation.  He refuses to let me in and starts walking away.  I am furious.  I can clearly see that there are staff people inside setting up.  What's the big freakin deal?

Lakanuki, no matter how much fun I had with you the night before, the rudeness of your staff will ensure that me and all my mammoth season pass holding friends never ever visit your establishment again.

I give VERY few 1-star reviews.  This place definitely deserved it.

The end.

I took a formal dress to be cleaned.  It was $15-20 (cant remember exact price).  i regret not taking a close look at the dress when i picked it up, it looked clean on the outside.  but when I unwrapped the plastic to wear it again 6+mos later, i noticed that the shirred stitching on one side of the dress had come completely loose.  and several sequins were missing.  now i have to either retire the dress or take it to an alteration place to get it fixed :(  the lady who works here is very nice, but i will choose high quality work over nice any day.

Not sure why so many yelpers are hating on this place so much.  I went for a basic car wash during their "happy hour" weekdays 1-4pm.  it's 9.99 for a basic wash with no extra charge for large cars so i was there with my little cube car amongst monstrous SUVs and soccer moms.  i was in and out in about 20min.  not the best carwash, but not the worst either.  if they miss any spots, just ask and they will gladly wipe it off.  no pressure for upgrades, and even though it didnt come with tire dressing, the guys drying my car wiped off my wheels thoroughly.

Not a fan. Sure it's cheap and in a fantastic location (what used to be Intercrew for the old-timers).  But banchan was so meh (kimchi, bland shredded radish, uninspired bean sprout namul, and that's about all they give), loud groups of obnoxious people made it impossible to carry a conversation, and they only give you chigae at the end if you ask for it.  there are too many other good kbbq joints in ktown for me to visit this place again.  not many koreans were seen eating here.  that's prob not a good sign.

wanted to show some yelp love to my local thai delivery joint.  sure, it's not like the most delicious thai food i've ever put in my mouth, but the portions are good, food is pretty tasty, delivery is fast (they say 45min on the phone, but it usually shows up in 30min).  and they remember the little things that make all the difference to me - utensils, napkins, condiments.

don't you hate when you open up your bag of delivery food and there isn't a single fork in there?

so thanks for being my reliable go-to place thai fresh! :)

ps -1star for charging an extra $1 for rice :(

I'd like to visit this place again on a non-weekend night.

I went on a friday and it was filled with lots of hollywood scenesters, actors, model types.  all the girls were dressed the same - faux furry vest/jacket with short skirts, opaque tights, and high heels.  lots of bowler/fedora hats on the guys.  it was like a communion of neo-modern retro flapper girls.  patrons were about 90% white, 5% asian, 5% african american.

friday and saturday nights require a reservation if you show up after 9p.  inside, the space is beautiful.  kinda reminded me of a mini-edison.  two bowling lanes, lots of games to play like jenga and cards and other things.  cocktails are delicious, albeit a bit on the expensive side - $14 each.  get it on the rocks to stretch your dollar.  staff is beautiful and very friendly and professional.

i parked at the orange lot across the street and bought one taco at baja fresh to get 1hr free parking.  we ended up staying for about 2 hrs and the parking bill came out to $7.50.  sweet!

i've found the holy grail.  the pink elephant. the golden unicorn.  ALL U CAN DRINK, that's right, AYCD, in LA proper.  this place currently has a promo for $16 that will get u as much beer and soju as your drunken heart desires.  and this is all day every day!

they also had a nice selection of beers on tap (hefeweisen, newcastle, etc) and they serve you gratis boiled peanuts as the bar snack.  it's was kinda dead inside when we went on the tue before thanksgiving, but if you go w/ a group of friends, you can own this place.

also, i had a tough time figuring out whether this place is trying to be a bar or a restaurant.  i would call it a barstaurant :)

Ant Moving

This was definitely one of the smoothest and stressless moves I've had in a long time.  I was told by George over the phone that my movers would arrive between 8-9am.  Two Russian guys showed up at 8am on the dot.  Since I was paying an hourly rate instead of a fixed rate, I was worried they might dilly dally and take their sweet ass time to eat up money.  But nope, they were super fast and efficient.  They offered me wardrobe boxes (for free) that I loaded up with my hanging clothes.  And they also wrapped up my pristine white mattress with plastic wrap and my wood furniture with blankets and tape to ensure they wouldn't get scratched.  They also disassembled my bed for easier transport, something I had no clue how to do.

The place I moved to has a tricky loading zone situation but my mover told me not to worry, and he was able to suggest the best place for them to park their truck to avoid a parking ticket.  Once in my new apt, they placed all my furniture in the locations I asked for and even placed the boxes in their appropriate rooms as I had them labeled.

I moved from a one-bedroom to a studio with about 20min of drive time in 3 hours for under $200.  Total bargain!!

I'm recommending Ant Moving to anyone I know needing a good, realiable, and reasonably priced mover.  THANKS GUYS!!! :)

Pizzeria Mozza

i still can't believe they wouldn't let us order another pizza because "you only have this table for another 20min and it'll take 20min to make another pizza" is what our waiter sheepishly told us as he handed us a business card for mozza to go telling us that we can get that extra pizza we want to go.  WTF???  he says this to us at 730p when our reservation time started at 615p.  does that mean each table is alloted only 90min?  that is so whack and unprofessional.

all the food is amazing and phenomenal, hence the 3 star rating instead of 1-2 stars like they really deserve.  but kicking out diners before they are ready is definitely NOT COOL in my book.
