This was a cheap room. Nuff said.
Another Oakland Airport run took me through Terminal 1 on this trip. T1 is used for all airlines other than Southwest. All I can say is "wow". This remodel is really nice. I am surprised (and disappointed) the Gourmet Burrito place didn't make it, but what a nice Starbucks. I like the new signage, new selection of restaurants and elimination of the gut bomb Round Table pizza.
This place is much warmer and traveler friendly. The TSA portion was the only piece which was still a bottleneck.

This airport has a lot of good places to eat and is much nicer than it used to be. (It was a dump!) I had a rare mechanical on Southwest, so had to kill time. There's even a Vino Vollo in this airport!
Free wifi (listen LAX!)
Only thing missing were the quick charge stations, though there are cool tables with plugs and USB connections to recharge your laptop/cell phone.

OMG....this is Whole Foods nirvana with an excellent eating area and free wifi upstairs! I thought Whole Foods on Rose and Lincoln was the bomb, but this place is way, way better.
Much more merchandise since it's a 2 story Whole Foods, decent parking and even an espresso bar. We had excellent service and I probably sampled more than I should have in my nearly 2.5 LB lunch salad. The selection was incredible and the price worked out to about what I would have paid in a restaurant, but the quality/quantity were both higher!

This was poor sushi and Tenno managed to screw up our order, twice! The only roll which I thought was "OK" was their cucumber roll. Ask many questions as they tend to be sauce and "mayonaise happy" which really ruined their rolls.

Excellent selection and perhaps the largest list of omelettes ever assembled on one menu! Plus, they even let you make your own! I wanted a healthy egg white only omelette with some veggies and a side of oatmeal which they gladly substituted for the hashbrowns and toast. That's refreshingly creative and great service as the offer came from the server!
The OJ/Coffee could use a little improvement and I'd nix the the Quaker oats in favor of steel cut oat, or offer both.

pretty dead for what used to be a "happening place". Happy hour is quiet, the selection of food and wine is limited, but the ambiance and menu are "tired" and the place has a "suburbia feel". (Maybe, that's because it's in the heart of the suburbs.

Yuk....this wasn't good! No ambiance and really poor lunch. Service was good, but no other redeeming qualites.

This new restaurant and bar features exotic drinks in a casual bar atmosphere and also service the 3rd floor pool at the Hyatt Waikiki. The bar/restaurant has 3 large TV's to catch you favorite game, some private tables and about a 60-75 foot long bar. There's a 4-6PM Happy hours where everything is a few bucks less.
The restaurant serves a wide variety of small plates, salads and sandwiches. Wednesday thru Sunday there's live entertainment, until about 8PM. Swim is excellent for a small snack and they make really good drinks. The wine list is very limited and you're better off skipping their house wines.
Service is excellent and the ambiance is perfect. I hope they add a bit wide food selection and this will be a top spot!

Shor has some fresh fruit, an omelet bar and supposedly a Bento Bar. I'd give super strong marks to their waffle and their oatmeal. However, the selection is much less than the Marriott.
There's fresh guava, orange and pineapple juices, cereals and all the usual breakfast fare plus cereal.
